We went to the vin du lac winery for the first time. It was on a Sunday afternoon around 4 PM. There were two men serving wine in a tent. The tent was not air-conditioned. It seemed to be about 110°. There was one fan pointed at the employees.we asked them about a fan and they nonchalantly said we only have one. The two guys acted like they didn’t know why we were there, it took them forever to bring us our tastings, they acted like we were bothering them. We will never be back.
At a recent tasting with a group of friends, the service was minimal and at times inattentive. The three red wines I tasted were good, though not so good that I'd pay $60 a bottle for any of them.
The views are best in Chelan and with paired with a great glass of vino just doesn't get any better!
Best view! Great small bites food. Decent service, when they are busy it does seem a bit stressful for the staff but regardless great place!
Great wine, food and atmosphere at this winery.
18$ for a short pour, just because the guy serving didn’t want to open a new bottle,
Well, where do I start? As our party of 8 got settled in at our table, we were given a list of items that were no longer available on the menu. It was because there was a wedding reception that was having dinner. Who doesn't order the food for a reception and make sure they could also service the restaurant patrons? Having reservations for weeks, we all knew what we were going to order. Not one of us were able to order the dinner and salad we went there for. I ordered the waygu burger and fries. No sear, texture was mushy and the fries were the star of the show on my plate. Moral of the story is when visiting a winery or restaurant that hosts parties or receptions you have a decision to make.
They tried to pull a fast one on us :/
The waiter lied and said there was no autogratuity on the wine tasting, we tipped $20, and then they added 20% tip on top of our tip. We luckily noticed it before paying, and after much chagrin they removed the extra $20, but seriously scummy behavior.
Maggie is awesome! She helped with planning and set up for a special dinner we had at Vin du Lac after our daughters wedding rehearsal. She was so kind and fun and the food was fabulous! Love this place!! THANK YOU!!

We give them a 3.
Great ambience,
Beautiful view,
Fries were limp and greasy,
Very poor...slow and un-attentive service to us and other tables,
Granted they were busy but we only requested tastings and an order of fries before our dinner engagement.

We got there a but later than our reservation but we're still treated amazing by our service. Each wine was tasty and it was well detailed as it was being served. The view was beautiful from here as well.
This is my favorite winery in Chelan. From the wine to the food to the view, 5 stars. Our server was amazing. I'm sad the wine we drank and bought was not on his tab, so we tipped him more, which I doubt some people know to do. I would highly suggest changing that so the servers are paid appropriately, unless everyone splits tips, then we're all good!
Good food and wine but lots of kids. Not exactly the atmosphere you would hope for when wine tasting. Screaming, running children- a child threw ice at me numerous times and parents were completely un bothered. Definitely affected our experience.
If you haven't been out of the country...then by American standards this place is fine, a bit over priced for what's being served.
The scenery is beautiful and the service staff are very friendly. I will visit again if I have the opportunity in the future.
