I’ve been coming to this cafe for about a year and was excited to check it out after the rebrand. The coffee was great, and the girl who took my order was really friendly.

Unfortunately, the older woman at the counter made me feel very unwelcome. She didn’t say hi or thank you, just gave me a cold look and rang up my order. It wasn’t busy, so it felt personal. I couldn’t help but notice how different she was with the other (white) customers — smiling, chatting — and that contrast was hard to ignore.

I had planned to browse the plants and maybe buy some, but the vibe put me off, so I just left with my coffee. I do believe the owners are lovely, and I’ll continue to support the cafe — I just really hope I don’t run into that woman again.

West Plains Roasters is such a gem! The service was fantastic—friendly, quick, and welcoming. I ordered a caramel latte, and it was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a great spot to relax or get some work done. I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Amazing coffee. Incredible handmade syrups. I am a coffee snob and I buy my beans there for home cold brew. The baristas are always friendly. The toast and bake goods are always top notch. I only wish they were open later for night owls like me.

I absolutely love this place, the food and drinks are amazing. The staff are so personable. Has a nice relaxing vibe, plants hung up, beautiful blue suede bench’s.
The everything but the bagel toast is my favorite.

Some of the best coffee I’ve ever had, and hands down best coffee in the area. Great atmosphere, great staff and great food. LOVE coming here!

Best coffee shop in town! Also we love the owners! And if you are ordering coffee and are thinking about trying one of the toasts, DO IT!

Door sticks, but the shop is in a historic building.

Dietary restrictions: 2 non dairy milks

Parking: Lots of parking nearby, limited parking on the street.

Kid-friendliness: Kids seem to enjoy being there.

Wheelchair accessibility: Sticky door, but someone will help. It's a cozy but not tiny place.

Stopped by for a latte, which was really good! Made from scratch too. WiFi works fantastically for day away from WFH (work-from-home).

Didn’t try the food. So no comment yet.

West Plains is a uniquely fabulous place that you've got to check out if you're visiting Cheney or here for a couple years as a student. The sense of community is REAL! Most engaging baristas you'll find. Outstanding pastries (Cake Friday during the academic year will have you wrapped around its little finger). Inventive toast-based menu. It's an awesome place to work for a few hours, or to treat your friend to.

This is THE spot if you're looking for a café in cheney! The owners are some of the most caring individuals I've ever met and really care about their staff and craft. The staff is hard working, friendly, and always seem like they love where they work. Their food is incredible, and their coffee is even better. This family owned Café is the only place I'll visit if I'm looking to sit down and have some incredible coffee and food!
