We stopped in after visiting from out of town. The fish tacos were the best I’ve ever had. My daughter loved the mac-n-cheese. Their local, grass fed-beef made for a great burger, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his stir fry. Every one left beyond pleased and we felt nourished from our meal. We will gladly stop here to eat any time we are passing through. We wish this business all the best! It is truly a gem for the town!
Third time me and my partner have gone. For a appetizer we got the deviled duck eggs. The bacon had a wonderful flavor and the green onion had a good fresh taste. For dinner we got the Pesto Alfredo w/ Bacon and the 100% Wagyu 6oz Top Sirloin with added Asparagus. The Pesto Alfredo was amazing amd so filling i could barely finish my plate. The Sirloin was perfectly cooked and the sides were amazing. We then got some strawberry gelato for desert which was so creamy.Another AMAZING visit, much love to the crew at Goldfinch.
After a week of freeze-dried camp meals we were more than ready to splurge on an excellent meal, and Paul's crew mostly delivered one. The extensive menu allows diners to customize their meals to an unusual extent and clearly indicates the owners' commitment to support local agriculture, and some dishes were unavailable because of market conditions. This was a bit disappointing but diminished our overprivileged sense of entitlement to immediate satisfaction of our every desire--a good thing for our psyches! A bit of explanation, either on the menu or by the server, would have made this realization even clearer to those not already attuned to pick it up. The roasted brussels sprout appetizer was excellent, as were the other vegetables. Both the steak and the lamb chops were very high quality meat, but unevenly cooked. The bundt cake dessert was flavorful but a bit dense after such a heavy meal. Service [by the owner, Paul] was impeccable!
The worst restaurant food I have eaten in a long time. My gross burger patty was dry, small and burned. We paid $10extra to add the morel mushrooms to the drunk mushroom appetizer and there were none. We took it back and they did add some but it was very blah. I mean come on, even a little salt would’ve helped. My burger gave the option as a lettuce wrap and instead a very few spring greens were tossed underneath the burnt small patty. I paid $14 for a gross, dry, patty (no side). Burger patty’s are bigger at Zips (and taste a tons better). The service was good but there appears to be no care about making decent food.
i usually do not post reviews. but my guest and i both had out stomachs turning so bad as if we were going to vomit. we felt beyond sick after trying this.•the service was an absolute zero, they were not friendly and i was left more than once without items i wanted. keep in mind we were the only ones there.•we got the mac n brisket, it was over cooked and tough, almost like it was old. and the mac was cold.•a different thing we got was the fish n chips. fries were so salted we couldn’t finish them. but the cod was very good.•the water when she brought it had chunks that looked like chives and was pretty warm•the ice tea was pretty good though!
Wow! Soooo disapointing! My hubbie had lamb that he couldn't cut with a steak knife after 4 tries. So he used his teeth and barely could swallow it. We had it taken off the bill! The only soup they had (mushroom soup) didn't even taste like mushrooms! It was thick mushroom soup in a blender-see picture. The mushroom appetizer $13 was something I could have made at home with a couple spices-also dissapointing. I should have known there was a problem..when we were there on a Saturday night at 6pm and we were the only ones in the restaurant. It seems that the management doesn't care or take in feedback as someone previously mentioned "bland mushroom appetizer and they haven't changed the appetizer" to make it better it was still bland. P.s. I have not written any negative reviews on a restaurant in my 58 years. P.s.s. the waitress was sweet.
The service was fenominal. I had gone to the restaurant that was there before for years. I didn't think any other restaurant could compare. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food. It surpassed my expectations by far. This is a restaurant you must try.
So tonight I had my first encounter with Goldfinch restaurant
The food and staff were amazing! I had the truffle fries as an appetizer and loved the generous amounts of garlic they added to the crispy fried potatoes. My main dish was a spiral pasta with a white sauce which was cooked to perfection. A truly fun evening out with friends to celebrate life. Thank you Goldfinch for a wonderful evening.!
Great good, great atmosphere, great service.

Locally sourced food prepared right. I had the cheeseburger with fries and really enjoyed it. Meat was cooked to my order and the fries were crispy. The menu is small, but you should be able to find something you will like.
Ordered the drunken mushrooms for an appetizer. They were very plain no flavor. Entrée ordered was the cheesesteak sandwich sandwich meat was tough.
Excellent farm to table meals! They really make an effort to source local ingredients and other items, such as wine. The food is fresh and delicious. I love that there are options to customize several dishes with your choice of protein or leave as vegetarian/vegan depending on your mood or dietary restrictions. The staff is very friendly and professional!
The food is fresh, local and delicious! I haven’t had a bad experience at Goldfinch. I highly recommend everyone eating here. The truffle fries are to die for and the fresh lamb dishes are unbelievable. Just do yourself a favor and go!!!
