(visited 9/21/25) This place is a hit 'n miss. We came in as a group of six.
The Italian lemon cake was awesome, not overly sweet and the right balance between super dense and fluffy. The Carmelita pastry, carrot cake and French toast were amazing - with the carrot cake and French toast the most recommended.
Unfortunately, everything else was disappointing. The banana pudding was dry. The curry pot pie lacked seasoning and had undercooked potatoes (they were almost crunchy). And spinach ricotta calzone was bland; the crust being plain and the spinach & cheese a monotonous flavor. The most surprising items were the drinks. Not sure what beans they use but we had a simple drip coffee and an almond latte. Sorry to say but both were undrinkable. Several of us tried them and agreed. The dirty chai, however, had a favorable response.
I would return because Concrete and Marblemount are the first places you encounter when coming down from the mountains. But buyer, beware.

This is one of best bakeries I've ever been to. Staff is so friendly. They make everything in-house and have really unique combinations. We bought a 5 seed bar that was outstanding! Can't wait to try the beauriful french toast rolls.

This adorable bakery felt like an oasis while out camping near Baker Lake! Delicious coffee, baked goods, lunch and to-go items! Plus local handmade goods!
Thank you for being a safe space for a pit stop for a solo traveler like me!

Holy gluten free heaven! It's like rapture for the dietary restricted. So many choices and many lovely breads, rolls, and buns, sweets and treats to take home for later too.

Fantastic food, excellent service. A welcoming place and an unexpected treasure. I was just driving through the North Cascade National Park and ran into this lovely little restaurant in downtown Concrete, WA. Absolutely wonderful food and their baked goods are fantastic. Prices were quite reasonable for the quantity and quality. I brought some cookies home for my husband and he raved about them.

Great food. I’ve had multiple people recommend this place to me when I told them I was headed to North Cascades. Did not disappoint. We got the bagel dog, honey bun, and (i think) the monkey bread. Didn’t take any pics, looked to delicious and devoured it immediately

I’ve tried 5b’s bakery twice. I really wanted this to be good because it’s such a great spot after camping or hiking. The only thing I liked was the little donut holes, but unless you’re specifically looking for GF I don’t think their food is very good. The breakfast sandwich was so bready and the egg was was like gelatin. The coffee is awesome, super burnt. Maybe they have a speciality that I haven’t tried, but I don’t think I’ll try again. The staff are kind & friendly though.

We shared a Vegetarian panini and we each had Tomato Basil soup, coleslaw and a cookie. Everything was great. I highly recommend this place.

5b’s Bakery is everything you hope to find in a small-town spot and more. From the moment you walk in, the warm ambiance and welcoming energy make you feel right at home. The staff are genuinely kind and attentive, and their quick service makes it easy to relax and just enjoy the experience.
The food is outstanding. On par with the best bakeries you’d find in a big city. Every bite tastes fresh and thoughtful, from their incredible signature breads to their heavenly cinnamon rolls. What we especially appreciate is the variety of savory baked goods, each one flavorful, hearty, and clearly made with care.
Whether you’re here for breakfast, lunch, or just a coffee and treat, you’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit. 5b’s isn’t just a bakery, it’s a community treasure and a must-stop in Concrete!

Gluten free bakery with Caffe' D'arte coffee. A hidden gem in Skagit county. I could do without the no kings sign by the restroom though...other than that service was exceptional and the food was delicious.

The people are friendly, and I love the vibe of the place. However, I ordered a 16 ounce and they practically filled it to a small. The coffee taste burnt and the oat oat latte that I got was very low and for me.

The atmosphere of this place was really nice, it was in a good location, and everybody seemed nice. However, my dirty chai tasted off. It could’ve been the oat milk, it could’ve been the chai, it could’ve been the coffee not sure what it was, but it was disgusting.

We stopped to grab a bit to eat before hiking near Rainy Pass. The cheese cake was a bit overly sweet.
