This place has the best cold beer and ambiance In concrete. This is the quintessential small town American bar scene that I love. Good local bartenders old beer signs, pool table, and cold beer what else can you ask for.

Food was good. Fish and chips and Beyond Burger were cooked well and served fresh with tons of curly fries. Jellyfish Porter was an outstanding choice. Enjoyed our conversation with bartender as we were only one of three diners on a Wednesday night at 7pm.

I went to the Hub on a Friday night expecting it to be hopping. Instead, I was one of three people there. Apparently the bars in Hamilton & Rockport have karaoke on that night swiped their Friday night clientele.

Still, the space itself was rad. It felt like I was hanging out in a Wild West bar. It's a 100 year old bar, actually. So, in some ways, I was. They have an awesome Olympia wall, dedicated to the beer. Very cool pieces.
Fun art too.
Later, a group of young tools arrived, & one of them got in my face cuz I was taking pictures of the cool artwork near the bathrooms. This guy was a special kind of stupid, no doubt.
Couldn't tell if he was a local douche bag or a random douche bag, only that he was indeed some form of douche bag.
He was the only issue I had with my visit.
Otherwise the service was good, the beer & liquor selection was solid, & the atmosphere was unique.
I would probably go here regularly if I lived in the area. Will def go back.

I did not try the food.

Really cool old Western style bar on the way to the North Cascades. Solid choices for food and beer. Employees were very friendly and the environment was laid back. Will be back for sure.
