New owner Nate was friendly, answered all my questions and seemed very engaged in making this a success. Would love to see them get The Boxcar in Stanwood. Pan fried oysters were excellent, very fresh and local Taylor Shellfish Farms, to boot!
After hearing they had new owners and reading recent reviews we decided to try Conway Pub tonight after several years. Very glad we did. Food was great- Oyster Basket had 5 very large oysters cooked perfectly. My husband liked the Cole slaw and fries. I had the Oyster Burger which was just like it used to be, could have maybe used one more oyster as the bun was rather large. This place has excellent char-broiled burgers, which is the main reason I go there..! Their food is very good indeed..!!
It is probably best to eat outside in the beer garden on a nice day, because the inside is quite dark, and the tables are visually clean, but unusually sticky for some reason.
