Tasty food and service. The mole sauces are a must try. Fajitas are bomb! Their spicy salsa is hot hot! The service was outstanding (thanks Sergio) and ambience is fun/colorful.

I’ve been to the sister restaurant over in Chelan and this one is the exact same top quality Mexican food. I enjoy their menu selection and my favs are the Pollo Asado chipotle, the Pollo Mexicana and the Enchilada Oaxaquena.
Cocktails are also good and have enjoyed the classic Pina Colada as well as Bahama mama.
For dessert we tried the plantain and it was delicious.
I did find this time around the table service was not great. We came in at 5pm, it wasn’t that busy and we were seated right away. Water, menu and chips came about 10mins later. Another 10mins passed before a waiter came to take our order. The service team only came once did dinner to see how everything was, at almost the end of dinner. It was disappointing as my previous experience had been fantastic - this restaurant was not full - where did the service team go??
I will come again for the quality and taste of the food and I’ll update this review on whether service has improved.

I'm so glad I stopped here today! I had the Monday Lunch Special of Taquitos Dorados and it was delicious. Very friendly staff, great atmosphere and the Monday special was a tremendous value. I would highly recommend a visit and will definitely be back.

An authentic little piece of Oaxaca in Wenatchee!
We recently visited Fonda Oaxaqueña in East Wenatchee and were delighted with the quality and authenticity of their Mexican food. I ordered the chicken with Oaxacan mole, and it was a delicious experience. The dish came with half a chicken topped with a rich, authentic mole that evoked the traditional flavors of Oaxaca. The accompanying rice was just as authentic, with a flavor rarely found in Mexican restaurants in the United States, and the beans were perfectly prepared. The large, warm, soft tortillas complemented the dish perfectly.
For his part, Fernando ordered the meat fajitas, and was very satisfied with the quality and preparation. The meat was tender and well seasoned, accompanied by a complete side dish that included salad, rice, beans, cream and guacamole. Everything was well presented and in generous portions.
We found the price reasonable considering the quality of the dishes and the exceptional service. The waiter was very friendly and attentive, which made the experience even more pleasant. In addition, the atmosphere of the place is charming, with details such as the hand-painted wooden Mexican chairs that provide an authentic and cozy touch.
Definitely, when we return to Wenatchee, Fonda Oaxaqueña will be a mandatory stop to enjoy this excellent food again.

The restaurant itself is beautiful inside. We ordered enchiladas and the mixed fajitas that have chicken, Carne Asada and shrimp. For the price you only get 3 shrimp and the chicken was so dry and the Asada was burnt. I did ask ask the server if I could exchange for something else or if they could remake the chicken at least because the chicken was the worst it was so dry and hard to swallow . He could clearly see I had not touched any of the fajita.. He then advised me that he only could give me a discount 50% off a plate that I could not even eat. Probably the worst service of any restaurant that me and my family have ever gone to.
