Had high hopes based on some reviews but maybe we came on a bad day? The food was awful. Soggy fries that didnt look appetizing. Burger meat needed salt, the bun fell apart after 2 bites. Menu needs a huge upgrade..or a new cook. Server was kind though. If you're a tourist you will be disappointed. Id look elsewhere.

Great food, good atmosphere, terrible service. The bar itself is nicely decorated and inviting with music playing, but not at a level too loud to have a conversation. The food was quite good. I had the philly and my wife, who doesn’t really like phillys, said she could’ve eaten it! As for the service, we walked in and grabbed a seat at the bar. We were greeted, given menus, and drinks timely, but that’s where the good service ended. We waited 15-20 minutes for our orders to be taken. I could understand if the place was busy, but counting my wife and I there were less than 10 people in the place. The bartender/waitress seemed more focused on chatting with the locals and getting them pull tabs than checking in with us. When she finally did come for our orders she openly admitted that she spaced us off. This must be a theme because we had to request ketchup twice and we only had our drinks filled once, which we had to request as well. The drinks were empty again before the end of the meal, but by that point we had given up. Clearly the locals are the main focus and anyone else can wait.

Stopped in here after the railroad and not disappointed. The burgers were delicious and they had the option to substitute a veggie burger. We shared the fries and onions rings. Both were crispy. We went during the week and there was only 1 other table of guests so our food came very quickly. Andrea was so pleasant to chat with and told us things about the area since we were visiting.

Stopped here on the way back from Rainier. The hillbilly burger was the best dang burger I have ever eaten. Our server was very nice. The food did take a while to come out but it was well worth the wait. I will come back to get that hillbilly burger any time im in the area.

I honestly am not sure why the reviews are sooo terrible because this place is fire. Definitely a small town bar so it can be a bit offputting walking in but the bartender was the sweetest. My lettuce wrapped burger was delicious and the fries were top notch. I think the people who left bad reviews are expecting city dining in a tiny logging town. 10/10 would come again on every trip this way.
