A Crazy Life

We were visiting from afar and happen to see this place once getting off I-09. We didn't our laundry down the road then came to eat a late lunch.
Our items we selected were quite yummy; pricey_ but very yummy. We only got plain waters which were delivered in standard glasses WITHOUT even ice. water wasn't even very cold. Parking is not much. Its right next to the side of the overpass for I90 so luckily Iwas able to park on the side in the open area off side neer next to overpass area by side if there building.
Strange too_ we got there and there was NOBODY else dining. I think maybe one more person came in entire time we were there._ weardfor being so popular and great reviews there sure wasn't any diners.

The single best Kung Pao Chicken I’ve ever had! They definitely make their own sauces and mixtures. We also got the orange chicken, which was good, but not quite as flavorful. Definitely go by!!

We had a craving for Chinese takeaway and have had a few bad experiences in Ellensburg. (Read reviews of other places.) Crazy Wok was absolutely delicious and worth a redo. For 3 adults we ordered chicken fried rice, orange chicken, gyoza, and Kung pao chicken through doordash. More than enough and super tasty! Give them a go 😋

Amazing chicken teriyaki. Good sear on the meat, sauce was great. Rice was good. Huge serving size. Some of the best teriyaki I've had.

We arrived at the restaurant, and after a few moments, we were finally greeted with warm smiles. The atmosphere was very quiet, eccept for the occasional melodies drifting from the kitchen that hinted at the deliciousness to come. Once the service kicked in, it truly shone—our server was both friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The food arrived swiftly, and oh, was it delightful! Each dish was more scrumptious than the last. To top it all off, the location boasted a charming decor that added to the overall experience. A wonderful dining spot that I can’t wait to revisit!

I got my order to go. I got a chicken & shrimp Teriyaki and a side of gyoza. The food was to good classic, but char grilled to perfection, teriyaki sauce was Soo good. Gyoza was nice and crisp. I would go there again

Things have been going downhill at Crazy Wok…

We’ve been getting take out here regularly for years, but the quality of food and service has been going down lately.

Not open reliably

We went to buy takeout on Friday around 3:30pm, during their posted open hours. We figured they weren’t answering the phone because they were busy… Nope. They had the open sign posted but the doors were locked. People were in the kitchen but no one answered the door. No signs were posted about the unexpected closure…

They don’t regularly update their Facebook page when their hours change. They don’t have a voicemail with hours or updates when they’re unexpectedly closed; they don’t even have a voicemail greeting saying you’ve reached the right number for Crazy Wok.

About the food (be picky)

My partner loves the chicken teriyaki and it’s reliably good…

The chicken lo mein is decent, but they use a really fatty cut of meat for pork lo mein that is unpleasant to eat. Both versions are more oily than usual.

If you like your yakisoba sauce to be thick and caramelized on the noodles you need to go elsewhere. The sauce at Crazy Wok is more like flavored water with an oil slick on top. Maybe they’re using the stir-fry sauce?

The almond chicken is also unpleasant.

When I come here I eat one of two dishes for a good experience: orange chicken (usually good, it’s only been overcooked once) and chicken lo mein. Everything else I’ve tried either has the wrong flavors or consistency and I’ve tried most things on the menu.

It would take very little to get this rating up. Mainly, improved quality and reliable posted hours.
