I have a great experience everytime I come here! They have great selection of pastries! The maple bar is absolutely amazing. The crustless quiche is also fantastic! I'm always met with kind knowledgeable staff who are extremely helpful and are in good spirits! Can't wait to try the blueberry bread pudding with rum sauce! Two thumbs up! Highly recommend!

I just had the Best Spinich and Cheese Quiche I've ever had! The pastry is light and flakey. The Quiche portion is outstanding.
Go support this small business.
BTW, their pies looked delicious...

This place has the best Americanos in town. If you have the calories to spare...have a chocolate macaroon with it.

There was exactly one sandwich and exactly one sweet treat I could eat. I had the sandwich billed as “Chipotle Zucchini” minus the cheese. It had all of the listed ingredients *except* zucchini. The chipotle hummus was a bit in the spicy side for me, but it was tasty enough, overall.
Sandwiches come with chips, but the only choices were Cheetos or icky flavored Doritos (and none dairy-free).
The macaroon was the only dairy-free dessert (and obviously not vegan). It wasn’t anything special and was a bit too much after the sandwich. My friend got the chocolate-covered version (contains whey) and it was too, too rich.
The clerk said they sometimes have dairy-free hand pies, but not today.
The place was pleasantly air conditioned and made a comfortable enough stop to break up our drive.

This is a true hidden gem! You will find a quaint patio and charming storefront with friendly service! Delicious cakes and exquisite bread! Best of all there are strawberries growing outside at the perfect place for inconspicuous thievery!
Title: Great Atmosphere and Coffee, but Disappointing Customer Service Experience
Hayday has a good atmosphere, good coffee, and tasty food. However, during my last visit, I had a rather uncomfortable experience. I arrived around 9:30am to meet a friend for coffee. After he left around 12 I decided to do some work. Hayday was fairly empty, with many open tables and only a few customers around.
That’s when the owner approached me and said something to the effect of, “Excuse me. You’ve been here for 4 hours. Unless you’re going to get something else, you should have left after 1.5 hours.” I was surprised and confused by his tone and how he exaggerated how long I had been there. It was abrupt and came off as accusatory, with no apology or understanding.
I completely understand small businesses rely on turnover and it’s important that policies are communicated. But, in this case, the exaggerated time frame and the tone made me feel unwelcome and was really disappointing. (I’ve never been treated like this at a coffee shop/cafe before in my life...or be told to leave like this).
I still think Hayday has a lot to offer, and I want to give the owner the benefit-of-a-doubt, but conversations about time limits and expectations with customers could be handled with more kindness. (Unfortunately, I have noticed a few other reviews with similar experiences with the owner).
