Had a great walk and wade on the Upper Cle Elum yesterday with Ashtyn. Found fish, including a cutty. Missed some but netted and released enough for me. Scenery was fantastic. Great experience. 👍

I cannot say enough great things about the service from Red's. It's my go to shop even though I have fly shops down my street. Efficient, on time, great product selection, and reasonable price. Throw in a free line with my rod and reel purchase and I don't think I could get a better deal. Thanks Red's...John

The canyon Grill. Go there. Gourmet level. And jaw-dripping canyon-river scenery, not to mention resident eagles, Mountain goats, trails, fishing.

Food and service were excellent. When greeted we asked for a table for two for lunch. It was about 3:45 on a Friday. Not in the busy summer season either.NO ONE was in the restaurant, they had a few people “at the bar”, not even at a bar table.Cool.So the lady says, “Do you have reservations with us this evening?”…-No“Let me check for availability….” ?I snickered like, really?I did feel unwelcomed. Yes we’re had sweatshirts on as we were hiking. But that doesn’t mean anything.I’ve worked in the restaurant industry my whole life and in my experience, when the first question you asked someone is, “Do you have reservations?” It kind of makes them feel like they messed up and NEED reservations. However, when the seats are empty you’re not making any money and NOT ONE OTHER TABLE CAME IN WHILE WE ATE LUNCH. Also she seated us at the one table with a post so all we could see was a shed and some cars/boats.Not much of a complaint, more of a heads up on how you treat people. We tipped the suggested 21% and the food and service were very good.Honestly I don’t know if I’d feel comfortable going there as a “walk in” guest at this point.

Fantastic food and wine. The seafood we ordered was fantastic. Most of the wines are local and well curated. Nice view of the river.Highly recommend making a reservation.

This beautiful cafe under the watchful eye of Chef Kevin Davis is a gem. We stopped for a quick lunch after fishing. I was treated to the best burger and fries ever. The menu is loaded with seriously amazing dinner dishes. We considered staying over! Worth the drive from Seattle.

Wonderful evening fly fishing with Bogey as our guide. Great success, beautiful scenery and lots of laughs, highly recommend. Also loved the steak salad and service was great!

We are sad hat Kevin Davis shuttered his Seattle restaurants but were delighted to see his signature dishes with seasonal influences on the menu at the Canyon Grill!. From Medwell's salad - tribute to Steve Medwell a long time Seattle Surgeon - to the burger to the outrageous fried chicken we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Even the box lunch for our trip home was a tasty picnic along the Yakima river.

I have to say that our experience mirrors what several reviewers are saying here: 1. They used to be TERRIFIC. Now, management's lack of attention to the diner experience nearly ruins the dining experience. 2. Even though they had very few customers, they kept us waiting about 10 min for a table (I find it strange that other reviewers have also experienced this). 3. In the time we were waiting they asked us 3 times if we wanted to eat outside or inside (how strange!). 4. When food arrived, items advertised on menu were missing from the dish. Waiter said "sometimes the cook forgets." They fixed the error when we brought to waiter's attention. 5. Their "special of the day" (something I really wanted!) is only available for 2 people not for one person to order. :( Such a downer. Obviously, management is not thinking about (or caring about?) the guest experience. Tempt us with what we can't have, unless we want to pay double.

It is a cool place for a cold drink and a quick bite after floating the river or spending a day wine-tasting. Sit outside but not in the later afternoon as it will be scorching out there. They need more shade and it is a bit over-priced.

donjwaddle 1 Reviewed yesterday First time there. Friends had been there every other weekend for a meal last summer and have told me how great it was. They asked me to go with them yesterday for lunch. There was 3 of us. we stood in line for about ten min. before they even asked if we wanted to eat inside or out. Then 3 min later they asked again. That time there was a person behind us in line. When they asked him he said only one for out side. They set him first. When they did seat us they set us at a table that was open the whole time. Drinks were good and the food was ok but order was messed up and they served the wrong person the orders. And today I can not get away from a bathroom. Eat at your own risked
