We were traveling through Ellensburg on our way home when we stopped in The Soup Bowl Cafe. The owner was friendly, serves fresh, homemade food and has a welcoming place to relax. Due to COVID-19 we were the only customers and enjoyed pleasant conversation with the owner. The tomato garlic soup is wonderful, as was our whole meal!

Great atmosphere. A true lunch spot for locals. Food quality is mostly consistent. I have had wait times where my tomato soup came out luke warm or soggy greens in my sandwhich. Other times, hot and fresh.

My husband and I returned to this place as we traveled across the state. Our last experience was good but we were greatly disappointed this time. My Hawaiian salad did not have teriyaki chicken, as was stated in the menu, just very dry and very salty chicken. Canned oranges and canned pineapple were disappointing as well. My husband’s gluten sandwich was miniature and instead of having avocado, had an avocado spread. It was very dry and quite disappointing.
