I went here because it had a perfect 5-star rating on Google. Honestly, I can see that if judged only by local standards. It's a college town and has a student staff. The food was good and cooked exactly as expected, but was not amazing or even on the gifted level, just good diner food. Go here when you are ready to unwind and relax with friends. Oh, so there is a kid on the counter...get over it already.

If you are looking for this place it has a new name the menu was the same online and in the restaurant though. Chicken fried steak was pretty good the waffles were amazing. The eggs could have been better. They were fine just in the middle. The cheese omelette was decent. However, the cheese in the middle wasn’t melted and still chilled. The hashbrowns were good and the service was great. Would definitely go back.

Food is delicious! I got the biscuits and gravy (my favorite) I'm glad they changed the gravy recipe up a bit, there was too much nutmeg or something along those lines, regardless of that it was still so good. And if you have a small appetite like I do, do not order 2 biscuits lol! They're huge but delectable! On the other hand, the extra biscuit was delicious later on! I'll definitely keep going back

Go for breakfast! The service was incredible and very friendly. Coffee was being poured before we sat down and never ran out. I had the Ranchero Omelet with French Toast. It was not only high quality and delicious, it was also Huge. I would highly recommend!

The Country Cafe might have a new name, but don’t let that confuse you! The Huckleberry was great, but The Country Cafe is even better! Offering the same amazing food and great environment, the staff are extremely kind and truly get to know you! It is everything I would’ve asked for in a diner! My mornings are always better when I get to spend time here! Definitely stop by and experience this wonderful restaurant for yourselves!

I went out to the Wild Huckleberry with my daughter. I ordered a hot chocolate for her from our friendly server and it came out beautiful, whipped-cream and sprinkle-topped. That made my daughter very happy. We ended up splitting a veggie omelet with red potatoes and toast. I knew it was going to be decent because it took a little while for the food to arrive. The portions were big, everything looked great, and service was attentive and friendly. I would totally go back again and order the same thing. There are also cozy booths, which were perfect for our daddy-daughter date.

I had the corned beef hash and I just didn’t understand it. It’s like the chef wanted me to do all the work. The corned beef came in huge, long chunks that were difficult to cut with the knife I was given. (I’ve never had to cut up hash before) It also had huge chunks of fat. The potato’s were mushy and onions were floppy. The beef was chewy and just unpleasant. I feel like a got some reheated leftovers. The coffee was good and my server was very sweet.

Old bar vibe and great breakfast at 1pm. Delicious harsh browns.

Had an amazing brunch here on Valentines day. The reviews dont do it justice. I had the chicken fried steak with a side biscuits and gravy. All breakfast items come with a choice of really yummy sides, biscuits n gravy, french toast, or hashbrowns and toast, and more. Very good portions for the price! The biscuit was really good, crispy enough that it didnt get soggy with the gravy. All for a great reasonable price. My boyfriend had the ranchero omelette with a side french toast. Both were amazing and well made! The french toast was huge, made with cinnamon bread, and really great syrup to top it off. And above all, the customer service was great! Our server Jaelyn was kind, friendly and very helpful. I love this place and will be coming back again to try the rest of the menu!!!

Great restaurant in Ellensburg, WA. Had their Ranchero Omlet with Red Potatoes and Sourdough Toast. Very filling and delicious. Friendly waitstaff and had their Tony's Coffee which they kept full. Arrived early to beat the rush. Full house by 9:30 am on Sunday morning.
