They have trashed this longterm establishment. You have to wait in a line for food even if you have a table. Ordering took 45minutes in a line while the rest of the group had to wait at a table. Ordering shouldn't take this long, especially when the food comes out 5 minutes later. It shows the fault is on the ordering system, not the delivery side. No pitchers of beers and you have to leave your table again to order at a different location. Nachos no longer have a real cheese. The ultimates kicker after a linf wait. This place has become the bottom of the barrel. Take your money to the elk.

Food was pretty good. Prices were a tad high, which was to be expected. The live music could have been quiter. Seating was plentiful.
I wish I could give it 0 star. Crystal dinning options is a disaster and this place is worst of them. 30 min after we ordered and waited I went to the guy who was taking the order and he said he forgot to add my entree and he was like oh maybe I didn’t push the button or forgot to do it.
Just a heads up for anyone that used to enjoy Rafters Mac&Cheese or Grilled Cheese. They’ve changed the recipe for both, and not for the better… they used to use a nice smoked Gouda and now your grilled cheese will come with a couple cheap deli slices that won’t be completely melted… the Mac and cheese, formerly my sons favorite, now uses what looks and tastes like cheap state fair nacho sauce…. As a customer When considering the price you are paying for the food, one would hope for higher quality not wider profit margins. Rafters WAS doing great considering it’s just cheese and bread. Please don’t try and fix something that wasn’t broken!
I’m a little surprised by the low rating The Rafters Smokehouse has. I felt like the food was better than to be expected up in the mountain. Staff is SO friendly. If you go during the lunch rush hour, you’re gonna have to wait awhile. From my two days on the mountain I’ve noticed that this place is busy from 12-1:45. So if you don’t want to wait for an hour+ try to go before or after. Granted this review is based on weekday visits. As for the price, I guess I know it’s gonna cost me, so I wasn’t shocked. I don’t mind paying for the cost of food with it being better than traditional bar food and friendly staff. Pro tip: Open a tab when you order. The runners will be able to get you anything you need without having to wait in line again!
We ate lunch there on Sunday Dec 12, 2021. It is a relatively small restaurant, but their kitchen is either undersized or understaffed - lead time from placing an order (as simple as hamburger and mac and cheese) was 40 to 45 minutes. We arrived at 11:20 am and they were already out of all chicken plates and sandwiches. Waitresses try hard to get food and checks delivered to guests as quickly as they can, but there is only that much that they can do if kitchen is way behind. Food was OK, better than the total garbage typical for ski resorts, but less thrilling than one would expect for the price and worse than one generally expects from a full service restaurant. One generally wants to get a quick but filling meal at a ski resort and go back to skiing. This is not it. Neither speed nor food quality is there. Nothing to "write home about".

Awesome place for lunch midday at the mountain! Highly recommend the pork belly BLT and the grilled cheese with tomato soup. Staff was great and the drinks were delicious!
High priced for poor quality food. Their signature ingredient is smoked brisket which was very dry. Not good!

New name. Still terrible service. I know...we have extra special circumstances right now but watching the staff walk past our table 6 times with no acknowledgment was a reminder that it's still the old terrible slow service.
I hope they improve their food quality for the price they charge otherwise they will be known as a nasty overpriced food place
