Great chicken sando and burger, each with fabulous homemade chips. Rainier on tap. Sat at bar and enjoyed the low-key Fall vibe.

The huckleberry lemonade was delicious!
I got their fish and chips. The chips was my favorite part. The fish was good too. Stopped by after discing down crystal mountain. Very rustic environment. It was fun looking at everything on the walls. There were a lot of fruit flies where we were sitting, only down part of the visit. Overall Everyone was satisfied after.

Interesting decor with signs, logging gear, and lots of stickers! The cheese burger had fresh lettuce and tomato. Served with homemade potato chips. It's a bit pricey ($20), but hits the spot after a great day of hiking.

Travelled here today, have been here in 2010 before and the place is the same. We had the tavern cheese burger with home made chips. The place is cool and rustic with old tools and stuff all over the walls. Service is good, Rachel is a nice bartender. Server was nice and friendly. Burger was a little underdone. Table was sticky. Fun place to experience. Pool tables on one side of the place. Dog friendly. Food is overly expensive, and you don't get much.

Excellent food and beer, friendly staff, and a welcoming atmosphere! Decent prices as well. We stopped in after a long day and a night hike and were seated right away, the perfect end to the day.

This was by far one of the best dive bars I have ever been to. The servers were amazing, the food was nothing special but done well! They were very accommodating and I highly recommend stopping in!

Stopped here on the way to Crystal Mountain and was pleasantly surprised by the food. The fries were the highlight—crispy, well-seasoned, and served with two dipping sauces (the ranch was a perfect match, though I wasn’t quite sure what to make of the second, which tasted a bit like a homemade thousand island). Portions were generous, and everything came out hot and fresh.
The staff was friendly, helpful, and quick to assist, which really added to the experience. Seating outdoors is spacious.
That said, you’ll want to overlook some quirks of the setting—like the very old booth seating that seems more decorative than functional, and the fact that the space is shared with the occasional dog passing through. It’s definitely a roadside stop with its own character rather than a polished sit-down restaurant.
All in all, a convenient and tasty stop if you’re on the way up the mountain and craving something satisfying.
