This place used to be great. Now they're closed. So sad.

Sadly the owners have retired and this Cafe shut down after 40 years serving the community.

Great food in a quaint location!
We waited a while to get our food, but they were busy with a few large parties.
It was located across the road from a peaceful river, where people were fishing.
Highly recommend ?

Parking: Free parking on both sides of the road. Gravel surface.

We sat down at 11am, orders were taken at 11;15 (took about 5 minutes to receive the menu). Food did not arrive until 12:10. If we’re being generous, let’s say it takes 5 minutes to get the order put in. That’s now 50 minutes before food was on our table. That’s unacceptable.

When I asked if they were short staffed, the bartender/waitress told me that the current owners are selling, and all the staff is leaving. That is not something you tell your customers.

I would recommend that the wait staff or current owners, who clearly don’t care about the business since they’re trying to sell, make an effort to communicate with their customers that the wait will be long. A perfect way to do this, is perhaps offer the patrons some toast to start with. This will also tie over some hungry kiddos or in our case…myself, the hangry girlfriend.

Food was great. Would not recommend, overall attitude from staff was lack of care, and obviously no one wants to wait that long for food.

Great food but the wait for the food was over an hour. Friendly staff but they seemed overwhelmed and maybe didn’t have enough workers.

This is a great cafe/bar/diner. The food is delicious, the portions are big and the service is friendly. If you’re looking for a place to eat after floating the River, riding at Tokul, or just enjoying the area this place is it. A great experience.

Really good place for breakfast. Nice menu and friendly service. The kitchen was slow but they came thru. Two of us had chicken fried steak. Can’t figure out why it was called “chicken-chicken”. The steak was decent but that yellow stuff called country gravy was a huge miss. At least it did not have sausage in it like everyone well late in Washington?.The French toast was very eggy. Bad choice.I will go back. I will ask about the gravy but then order something else. Our waits was great.
