I usually get chow mein across the street at South North Gardens, but after a bad experience, I decided to try Golden Gate despite the negative reviews. I ordered two beef chow mein dishes with no vegetables. When I picked up my order, it wasn't what I expected. The portion size was good, but the noodles were somewhat plain. Upon pickup, I discovered that the online pricing is outdated and doesn't reflect their current prices. Two orders of chow mein cost $38, which seemed expensive considering the food quality. Next time I'm in the area craving Chinese food, I'll definitely return to South North Gardens. They offer better pricing and tastier food.

The restaurant needs a renovation, the carpet looks so dirty it really sets the tone of your experience. The waitress was friendly and pleasant. The prices were average. We spent $43, including the tip. It's $20 per person, not including a drink.
I have to say that the food wasn't very good 😕
The chowmein was spaghetti noodles, no vegetables, and the chicken tasted like it was boiled . Everything else is deep-fried.

Me and my family ate here on Monday 9/9/24 and all the food we had was so delicious we had no complaints especially the spring rolls they were so good we had to order some to take with us
And the service was excellent and we talked to the owner a little bit and you can tell how much he cared about the quality of the food he was serving to customers
So if you are ever in forks washington this restaurant is something you must try

Nobody was waiting to eat here and the Google reviews weren't the best. However, my food came out hot and fast. The flavor was alright. Tofu was cooked to perfection though.
The place could use some renovations. The carpet was definitely old and looked dirty. I was not impressed with the food either. The chowmein and almond chicken was bland. I was okay with the crab ragoon except having the sweet and sour sauce on it. Our server was nice though. Sad to say I’m not going back there again.

Went on a weekday dinner. Ordered Sweet and sour pork but it seemed dry crunchy and over cooked. Nothing included with the dish like sticky rice which cost the restaurant very little to offer as part of the dish but instead they charge $2.50 extra. The entree was $17.95 for single entree. The staff was very nice. We were the only customers.

Ordered Mongolian tofu, it has no taste, no salt nothing. It's just fried tofu, onion and rice. Not satisfied at all.

I was shocked to find a vegan friendly restaurant in Forks!! Thank goodness for Golden Gate!! We pulled up and they had just opened so the large parking lot was empty! We were seated right away, and the server was very friendly. The atmosphere was cute and had very nostalgic Chinese restaurant vibes. We ordered the General Tso's tofu, Chow Mein, and spring rolls as an appetizer. The spring rolls were nice and hot and crispy. They had a good sweet and sour sauce to dip them in. The tofu was flavorful and a great texture. The chow mein was also really good. The portions were huge so my husband and I split the meals and had a full large takeout box left to go! The waitress asked if we were vegan while she took our order so this place is very accomodating and aware of vegans needs which is so refreshing! My husband and I both recommend this place if you are a vegan or vegetarian eating in Forks!
Vegetarian options: There are tons of vegan and vegetarian options in a clearly marked section on the menu.
Dietary restrictions: This restaurant is vegan friendly so plenty of options without meat or dairy!
Parking: There is a large free parking lot right in front of the door to the building.

There were several vegan items even included on the Saturday Special menu! The waitress even went out of her way to ask if we were vegan when we ordered vegetable dishes. We got the general Tso's tofu, chow mein, and the spring rolls. It was greasy but delicious. Very classic vibes for Chinese food. The atmosphere was cute and quiet.
