Another one of our regular weekday takeout places! Bento-ya has a large menu of bowls and bentos. Generous portions and deliciously prepared. Some of our favorites are the Chicken Karaage, Unagi, Galbi Short Ribs, the Shoukadou Bento, Tempura and the katsu with a side of Japanese curry. They also sell some desserts - panna cotta (various flavors like matcha or raspberry) - from a dessert/bakery. Worth trying too!
Thank you for your tasty bentos, Bento-ya!
Beef was not oily, very flavorful and tender. Small portion size but worth a try
I was nervous about ordering here as I saw a review that mentioned that the food arrives cold and I'm very against hot foods being cold, the food tastes very different and microwaving it is a no go for me. However, I was pleasantly surprised and very relieved when the food was piping out when my boyfriend arrived from picking it up.
He got the chicken teriyaki while I got the mackerel teriyaki as a reviewer mentioned that they remove all the bones. Mackerel is one of my favorite fishes but I just ate the time consuming and pain of the bones. The teriyaki sauce was sweet and savory and coated the cooked vegetables and spring mix below the entree which was really good. The mac salad was delightful with great textures from the macaroni, onions, carrots, corn and other goodies. My boyfriend enjoyed his chicken teriyaki and I also appreciated that it wasn't overly charred or burnt like many other teriyaki joints or sushi restaurants do.
My boyfriend mentioned that the lady who greeted him and handed him the food was friendly and accommodating as we wanted chopsticks so she added that in for us. A solid takeout restaurant that is affordable and delicious!
Where to start , the chicken katsu curry ? Amazing it’s always made a little different and keeps you from getting bored , the salmon teriyaki ? Absolutely amazing, great flavor and cooked just right
This is my favorite Japanese bento spot! Their food is made with love, and you can truly taste the quality and care in every bite. I've tried many of their bentos, and they never disappoint—always fresh, flavorful, and delicious!
Since my mother is no longer with us and I've never had great success preparing Japanese food, I get it from here. Always great tasting food from the tempura, chicken katsu curry to the terriyaki chicken spicy bowl. It's all great. Great service too!
It's good food. Said 10 minutes wait and I got food and the bento box wasent hot or warm. Th soup was cold too. I'll be back but I wish they can serve more hotter food.
First time here, a real hidden gem. (Literally, almost passed it)
I was craving chicken katsu. I placed my order there and a sweet old man handing my order to the front, so I knew it was going to be AMAZING & in fact it was. I always have left overs, but not today 😂😭 it took less than 10mins for my order and it took 5mins to finish. The salad was different from what I’m use to, and it was way beyond so much better. The Katsu was a perfect crisp. Definitely check it out 🤩
I have visited Japan 2 times for about a month with my husband, buying bentos to eat as I ride the Shinkansen across most of the mainland regions.
This is the most legitimate bento I’ve had since I’ve had since coming home, above and beyond the most delicious that I’ve ever had anywhere.
This food feeds my heart, and I will be looking for reasons to eat here as much as possible. Thank you for the delicious food!

Got the lunch special chicken teriyaki box, had great variety of food in there, good seasoning in rice, good vegetables and decent sushi. Teriyaki wasn’t the best though chicken had an interesting texture and wasn’t very hot either, despite eating only 10 minutes after getting it. Overall still good value

I'm surprised they don't call me by 'Saba Shioyaki, switch the mac salad for broccoli!' I love this place! The mackerel is always fresh and BONELESS. It's hard to find boneless in restaurants and I really appreciate that they take the time to do this. The food is fresh, delicious, and consistent! I get this dish on average once or twice a week. I order other dishes for the rest of my family.

Take-out setup front. Four dishes I recommend include their chicken katsu curry, Una-ju, Buffalo Karage or Chirashi bowl. The chirashi and una-ju taste fresh. The bento boxes are also great way to fill up on different items. I'm a fan of Pastry Mittens so it's convenient they offer their sweets at this location.
