Is it illegal to ask for service dog documents? Yes, under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), it is illegal for a restaurant to demand documentation, certification, or proof that an animal is a service animal as a condition of entry. Staff may only ask two questions when the need is not obvious: Is the animal required because of a disability? What work or task has the animal been trained to perform?
I walked in to fins asking for outside seating. They did not even allow me to speak before they assumed my dog wasn't a trained service dod. They didn't ask any key questions they asked for Documents that proved she was. I am 100% disabled and was looking forward to having a nice experience with my very well behaved service dog. Who's task is to Allert me of seizures. Instead they raised their voices and demanded to see papers proving my dogs legitimacy. This place was completely empty at 4pm. Now I know why. The staff need to be better educated about service dog laws and ADA rights. I walked away rather than deal with rude staff members. I will never try to eat there and will not suggest anyone try them either. Not welcoming at all.

Fins went above and beyond! My wife and I wanted to get a good seafood meal and looked up Fins. Arrived and it was popping and full. Luckily however, the hostess, Briggett, got us in at the bar extremely quickly. Next, our bartender/server Andrej, was super friendly and was delighted to talk to us through our entire experience. All of the staff were welcoming and friendly! The meal was to die for. I got the king salmon and honestly it was the best salmon I've had in Seattle. Especially after having been to Aqua and other famous Seattle spots, Fins takes the top of my list. We will definitely be headed back, though we'll probably be making a reservation next time.

We were craving seafood and decided to give Fins a try. We started with the Crab Bisque and followed it with Salmon and Risotto. Each dish was excellent and the staff and service amazing. Fins Bistro is an excellent choice and we definitely plan to visit again!

What a gem of a place! The food here was delicious and the service was attentive. Its such a humble little diner with such a finesse in the food preparation. We came as a group of 10 people and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

This was the best meal I’ve had in a long time!! Great service and the food (giant shrimp and grits with andouille sausage) was delicious! I mean DELICIOUS!! I’d highly recommend this. If you’re in town, don’t miss it.

Sadly, Sages is not what it once was. 4 of us ate there last night. We used to go regularly, then last year only once due to the quality. We don't need to try again. The seafood bisque is as delicious as always but was barely warm. The seafood paella had very good seafood on top, but the rice below was dried out and way over done. The steak was mediocre, requested medium and this was done correctly but with no seasonings or sauce, just cheese sprinkled on top, it wasn't worth ordering (in past review pictures they show a veg and a sauce, this time there was nothing on the plate but the piece of meat). The server never came to check on our food or even refill our water glasses. When spending over $200 for two, we expect better.
All the employees were wonderful. The bartender helped us each choose a meal and a drink to go with it. Can't say enough how delicious every thing was and how wonderful everyone was.

Amazing food, friendly staff, great atmosphere. A little tightly packed in, unfortunately, you're going to be rubbing shoulders with your neighbors a little, but overall, a fantastic dining experience.
