We have been eating at JaK's for 20 years. The food and service are always outstanding. Your prices are becoming way too expensive. I had the halibut last year and it was delicious but not a good value for such a small meal.

First, I (we) love Jak's....it's always top on the list of choices when dining out. Last night was a fairly miserable experience, & not at all typical. My wedge salad was so salty & pungent from the blue cheese, it was hardly edible. Typically DELICIOUS. My crab cakes were very lightly crisped & were BARELY room temperature. Not only do I typically eat both, it is my practice to also take home & additional order. Last night, I ate one of the 2 & left the 2nd one in the doggie bag container to make a statement. When it came time to pay, I opted to not respond with the thumbs up or thumbs down option. Honestly, I didn't want to embarrass our server or make her think she was to blame. It was very disappointing to say the least. On a happier note, my friend very much enjoyed her usual pork chop, but agreed her wedge salad was as in-edible as mine. Sorry to come across so harsh. You asked...otherwise, I would have just hoped for a better experience next time. And by the way, my friend had a birthday dessert (Lovin' Spoonful) which we both thought was exceptional. Jak's Grill is always a great feel. I had to change my table reservations 2 times and they were able to make it happen! Food is great and Issaquah downtown is so cute and charming.

Food, service and drinks excellent. Sad that the menu and sides have been scaled down. Amount of food has also scaled down but prices have gone up. Hope the business is doing ok!

Jak’s had been a favorite go to of ours for years. We went tonight to celebrate a birthday and were terribly disappointed. I ordered the bourbon pork chop and when I made the first cut it appeared raw. It was bloody and cool to the touch in the center. (I have pictures). When it was returned to the waitress it was delivered back to the kitchen and I witnessed the cook take it by hand and put it back on the grill where other food was being cooked. It is my understanding you never put returned food back on your cooking surfaces. The manager came to the table to apologize and I showed her the picture of the bloody, raw pork chop. She explained they serve their pork chops medium, and the cooks use a thermometer to check for the medium temperature. I have never had to order a pork chop well done, as I assumed all pork is cooked well done. I told the manager that there is nothing on their menu advising the pork is only cooked medium and that the cooks are obviously not using the thermometer to check for any temperature, as my pork chop was cool to the touch in the middle (not even warm and certainly not hot). I have ordered pork chops in many restaurants over the years and none of them were ever cooked less than well done. The manager did offer to comp the meal and to make me a steak but my wife was already done eating by this time and I didn’t want to make her wait for them to cook me a meal so we accepted the comped meal and left. We noticed the restaurant had a GOOD food safety rating from King County posted in its window but this experience did not meet the minimum standards that the rating indicates.

we loved this place. So many choices to eat, especially the starters. Tasty bites, and pork chop was really good. Had so much food we had it for lunch the next day. Want to go back. I’d go here over Well and Table any day!

I've been several times for lunch and dinner. Always busy, but the service is always fast, have never had to wait too long for food. Noise levels are pretty bad when it's busy, and it always seems to be busy, so not great for intimate conversations.
