Malarky's Sports Grill Reviews
I just want to let the staff know how I felt after my experience I had today. My husband and I are retired and once or twice a month we choose a restaurant we would like to go to. I’ve always enjoy going to Malarkey’s for their Ruben sandwhich. I had a killer margarita 👍🏽but when I got my Ruben I took one bite and the meat came out in one piece. More than half was fat. I asked the wait staff if I could get some LEANER meat. He came back from the kitchen to tell me. The cut of meat was very fatty and would I like to order something else. I ordered a Patty melt. So I waited. I saw other people being served. My husband was done with lunch. A wait staff came up and apologized and said my order would be out soon. I said it’s been quite awhile and she said “there were orders ahead of yours” ??? it was another 5 or more minutes when it finally appears. I asked for a box to go and put my card out to pay. We got the bill and were told both of my sandwiches were taken off. As they should have. BUT, the way it was ALL handled by the three wait staff was like “ I had a problem “ when I was very kind about the whole situation. We left totally disappointed and hungry. By the way by the time I heated my Pattymelt 4hrs later. It ended up in the trash. I just hope the staff will learn something from this and treat EVERYONE like they matter. It may be awhile for me to choose Malarkey’s as my place to go.

Malarky's Sports Grill is a family-owned pub and grill in Issaquah with a hometown bar feel. The atmosphere is lively, especially during happy hour, with a large area for pool tables. Their fried chicken sandwich on Wednesdays is a must-try. The portions are huge, and the flat iron steak sandwich on their signature sourdough roll is a favorite. The service is fast and attentive, with a bar to sit at and TVs to watch sports. The menu offers tasty eats and lots of beer choices. Visitors often come to enjoy a game, watch a specific sports event, or just have a good time talking with friends. The food is good, and the staff are excellent. The cuisine isn't going to knock your socks off, but people come here for a fun, relaxed vibe where they can enjoy bar games, pool, and great atmosphere during college football games. The homemade clam chowder was also praised. Kids are welcome, and there are pinball machines and boardgames to keep them entertained while guests sip their beers. The onion rings are a highlight, with generous servings that are often enjoyed alone. Malarky's has a fun, dive-ish bar feel where people gather to watch games and share pitchers. While some reviews mention the need for better cleanliness and service practices, overall, it remains a lively spot for friends to gather, enjoy good food, and have fun. The first-time visitors found it vibrant and enjoyable, especially loving the flame thrower burger and local IPA, promising to return again.
