Fabulous Italian Meal My husband and I tried out this small restaurant for the first time before going to the Village Theater in Issaquah. It was very small and cozy but everyone was friendly and the wait staff was attentive. I had the Seafood special and my spouse had the Seafood de Mare. Both were excellent with big portions so we brought some home for another meal. We also tried the appetizer special a bruschetta prawn concoction that was also excellent. Lastly we had Americano coffees and we shared the Cannoli dessert that consisted of one chocolate and one vanilla pastry. All in all a very filling and delightful meal. We will go there again. I would recommend reservations as the place is small.
Montalcino's was sublime. Quaint space with great service. I had a halibut special that was the best halibut dish I have ever had! The wine selection is top notch, and the dessert... amazing. This place is in Issaquah, but makes you feel like you are in a remote village in Italy. Love it!!
Wonderful experience. The best Italian meal we've had in years, and anywhere on the West Coast. The decor was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive. One of the best restaurants on the entire East Side, for sure. You must try it. You'll thank yourself!
Montalcino is a family staple for celebrations. The food is consistently good, the service great, and the atmosphere enjoyable. My only critique is that my dish, at our last dinner, had about 1/8 of the amount of pasta it usually has. I had about two-fork twirls of pasta with my clam linguine, though there were ample clams. I assume this was a quality issue by whoever in the kitchen made the dish, they forgot about 7/8 of the pasta.
Quaint, lovely restaurant in downtown Issaquah! Small venue that packs a big punch! The food is outstanding. The staff is amazing - always looking to please. Lovely wine list and YES you can get something other than Italian, but WHY? The Italian wine selection is perfect! I wish I had gotten dessert, however, I over indulged in dinner. Next time we'll try to save room for dessert - they all sounded fabulous!! Can't wait for our next dining adventure at Montalcino!
Very special birthday for me, the owner came and explained all the food options The head chef came out and visited also.
Small and cozy vibe, super friendly service and food was outstanding...will go back for sure!
Amazing dinner as usual! Great place to celebrate a birthday. Staff is welcoming and friendly. Food is great.
The food is outstanding. The staff is over the top. It's always fresh and hot and very good. We have gone there for years. Is a great place to do celebrations and you'll never be discouraged or unhappy with anything there
As always, Montalcino delivers an amazing dining experience. The food was fantastic (We started with the fresh mozzarella appetizer, and I had the short rib ravioli), the restaurant is intimate enough to have conversations across the table without battling with the voices of neighboring tables, and the waitstaff were always there when you needed them. We will be back.

This is our "date" night restaurant. The food is wonderful and the warm staff only makes the experience better.
Staff and food were amazing. There are no bad choices on the menu. The specials were great.
This was definitely one of the best dining experiences that I have ever had. The food was exquisite and the staff was friendly, attentive, and efficient. It is a bit difficult to get a reservation there, but it is well worth the effort.
Fantastic Birthday dinner celebration with excellent service & many tasty delights— a truly hallmark evening!
Montalcino Ristorante Italiano has become our go-to for any special occasion. The food is always spectacular and the service is genuinely gracious and attentive. We were there last night with a friend to celebrate her 70th birthday and our 41st anniversary. Everything was just perfection. For some people a special occasion calls for Canlis. We'd choose Montalcino any day. For the record, we had the antipasto special, two entree specials - the orechiette pasta with salmon, and the ravioli with short rib meat - and the Ravioli alla Juventus. Tiramisu for dessert. Thoroughly delicious. The best food comas ever!
