Ordered take-out dinner for two this evening, and everything was excellent. When I called in the order, I spoke to Leif and he was kind, polite, and answered some questions about the food. When I went in for pick-up, Leif greeted me immediately, and he was very hospitable and friendly. I thought he must be the owner because he went out of his way to ensure everything was perfect. Rarely do employees go out of their way to take such good care of customers on a take-out order! The food was delicious! We had the brisket and pulled pork sandwiches, and the meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender. The BBQ sauces were divine. I liked the hot one the best, as I enjoy a little spice, and it wasn't overly hot. The baked beans tasted like they were slow-simmered in a smoker and had that perfect BBQ flavor. Overall, it was a great experience and I can't wait to return!

Best BBQ in the area - straight out of a Kansas recipe book and never changed. Even after the original owners parted with it, the new ownership has continued with those classic recipes and still provide a warming and welcoming experience.
Small beer selection of typically good taste! And a lovely whiskey selection. Their barrel batch cocktails are fantastic.
Just order extra sauce - not because there ISNT enough, but because you'll just want more.

I have been there twice and have been blown away by the quality of the food. I had a rack of ribs wife had pulled pork sandwich and potato salad just great. Great Smoky taste on the ribs very moist and a terrific barbecue sauce. It's a bit of a dive but I love that. I understand they have new owners and I hope they don't change a thing.
