We have been here for diner, drinks, dessert, and brunch.Every time the food was excellent... but the service and atmosphere were beyond expectations.Service is super professional, with a charming touch that makes you feel at home. To me, that's what an American diner means... your food at home when you're not at home.The atmosphere is like being at home... but better, since you don't have to do dishes or clean-up.

This place is SO good, I called my mom to tell her about our stellar experience.My husband and I decided to try The Great American Diner this morning for the first time. We have gone to all the breakfast spots in Issaquah, and this is by far the best!!Our experience began when walked into a warm welcome!! We were seated, without a wait, and met our lovely waitress, Linda.The menu is filled with plenty of options, which they serve all day. We ordered our food, and enjoyed the relaxed home-y atmosphere!The food arrived pretty quickly and was delicious. The bacon melts in your mouth, hash browns are cooked to perfection, the eggs delicious, waffle/french toast is amazing!! Might I add, everything is fairly priced, with great quality! The food is fresh and non-greasy, as a person with a sensitive stomach, I felt AMAZING after!From food to service to atmosphere this place is wonderful. My husband and I are making this our regular spot going forward!

Loved the food. Great service as well. But the decor doesn't seem to fit the name or the awesome food and service. Just my opinion. I definitely recommend trying this place out of you haven't but word of caution, the decor is a bit off.

This place has the BEST food I've ever tried!!! And their tea cups ☕️ sizes are amazing. Finally, I didn't have to take a sip and fill a tiny cup again. Will come again! ?Kid-friendliness: They give out crayons and coloring books for kids.

We had burgers, which were very good. Sides were great. Reasonably priced milkshake, tasty also! Good atmosphere. Small accommodations, which adds to the diner charm but be prepared to plan or call ahead if you bring a semi-large group. Kind, friendly and accommodating service. Quite busy dinner hour for a Thursday eve but worth the wait.

Staff is amazing. Polite, quick, and hospitable. However I’ve never had to salt a burger after it’s been served, but none of the food here had any flavor from the potato’s and eggs, to the burgers and fries. The food has massive potential, but needs better work when it comes to building a good flavor profile.

I took my teenagers here on a Friday night and it was great! The service provided by Linda was fast (but not rushed), friendly, and made us feel very welcome. The restaurant was clean and had an older American diner feel.I was in the mood for breakfast (served all day). I had the chicken, fried steak and eggs, and the gravy on the chicken was wonderful! All of our portions were good sized, and the food was really good! I’m sad it took me so long to find The Great American Diner in Issaquah.Parking: This is on busy front street in Issaquah, so there is limited parking on the street and some parking behind the business but many of the spots are reserved.
