I wish I could leave a positive review but I've never been treated with such disrespect from our server and treated like a criminal. We initially sat inside because the outdoor seating was taken. After we ordered a table opened up outside and we asked a different server if we could go outside and they said yes. Then when we walked to the tables outside our original waiter came running outside yelling at us that we needed to pay and was treating us as if we had already eaten and were dining and dashing. I've never been so embarrassed and he continued to treat us with disrespect even after coming back inside to pay.
There are plenty of other places to eat in Seattle, I wouldn't recommend choosing Umi over any other establishment unless you like being treated with disrespect.

Nice patio and friendly staff. Vegan, vegitarian options along with meats. Plenty of choices for all tastes.
The location itself is really lovely. They have outdoor seating right next to a koi pond, which creates such a relaxing, peaceful vibe- perfect for enjoying a meal. The combination of amazing food, friendly atmosphere, and such a nice setting makes this spot one weâd absolutely drive back for. Highly recommend!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience here was unacceptable. From the moment we arrived, the waiter was extremely rude and even aggressive in his tone. We felt uncomfortable and unwelcome, so we decided not to stay. We believe that dining out should be an enjoyable experience, and being treated with disrespect is simply not acceptable. Unfortunately, because of this treatment, we cannot recommend this place.

My wife and I (+ our 4 children) were waiting to be seated in front of the âPlease wait to be seated signâ until a waiter started screaming at us saying that we needed to get out of the building to let him through. Sadly, we had to go some other place for dinner because the food looked good. Hopefully the owners do something with their service, which according to other reviews is a recurrent problem.

My Fiancé and I were on out way to Snoqualmie falls and googled a place to eat lunch, UMI Café was a short detour from the highway and an AMAZING choice!
Mii helped us, she was very sweet and helpful, the food was delicious and a great portion, I ate the Garlic Beef and my fiancé got the Umi Chicken, the food came fast and we got to enjoy from the patio outside! 10/10 recommend!!

Umi Café is such a hidden gem! We stopped by after a medical appointment and were blown away by how good everything was. I ordered the chicken pho and it was so flavorful, comforting, and delicious. I could honestly eat it every day. My husband had the Umi chicken and said it was packed with flavor as well. We also tried the fries, which were surprisingly great! They were crispy and perfectly seasoned.
