The husband and I ate dinner at this place. We really enjoyed it. The service was good and the food was great.

Great Italian food. The lasagna and spaghetti was very very good! Large portions. Mike and Jasmine were great. The restaurant was a theater at one time.
I have never had a bad experience here, however today they were out of their risotto and fettuccine. No big deal, substitutions are available. My soda tasted weird, so I asked for a replacement. But then when my food came out there was something hidden under the cheese on top of my pasta. At first glance I thought it was a spider. In hindsight I am hoping it was just shrimp legs. But with the intentional plating of the shrimp, and the fact that they had no legs on them, I have to think that was placed there on purpose which makes me a bit uncomfortable.
Sad to have had a poor experience here.

We were very disappointed with our experience at Backstage Café. The waiting time was absolutely unreasonable – 40 minutes just for bruschetta, and almost a full hour before our mains arrived. When they finally did, the pizza was far too salty and the Alfredo had barely any fettuccine in it. After asking for more pasta, I waited another 15 minutes, by which time the Alfredo sauce was already cold.
For nearly $60, this was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. We came hoping to celebrate a nice summer trip, but celebration is the last word I’d use to describe it. Sadly, it was unforgettable for all the wrong reasons.

Second time eating here and it was another great experience. I really appreciate that they have their gluten free options clearly labeled. Last time I got the pizza and it was by far the best GF pizza I've had. This time I had their spaghetti and meatballs and it was delicious! I could tell it was made with fresh ingredients. Our waitress was awesome, too.

First time trying Backstage! I did the La Tua Pasta which is a build your own. I chose the alfredo sauce with fettuccine noodles and chicken for the protein. I also requested the add a small bit of pesto into the alfredo sauce. Pasta was good quality and thicker than something you’d get store bought which I really enjoyed. As a group we split the meatball appetizer (didn’t get a photo) which was also really delicious and came with a side of naan flatbread and freshly shaved cheese for a vessel for the meatballs. Can’t wait to go back to try more dishes here. My only complaint would be having to request salt or pepper instead of having it readily available on the table. I don’t normally add salt to my food but the alfredo sauce could use a dash to bring it up a notch. Over all really delicious and can’t believe I waited so long to try this place. I’m surprised more people don’t talk about the food here!

This incredible place is tucked away next to an old vintage theatre. Branded, i would assume, with the theatre in mind, but this place seriously stands on its own! The food, the old world vibe, and our host were perfect.

Couldn't find any seats that would fit a big guy, it would be great if they had some benches or even some seats where the armrests folded out of the way. Had to sit on the floor for the movie. Upstairs was uncomfortably hot on a warm day. Pizza was pretty boring. I love the idea and the local business aspect. I just don't think I will ever go back unfortunately.

What a nice quaint place. We had an event there booked and I really enjoyed the experience. I had no idea that was there. Food was excellent! Service was great too. Thank you I had fettuccine Alfredo.

Brought my best freind here for her birthday. She has Celiac and was excited about the gluten free food. The wait wasn't excessive and the food was amazing. The server Kari and her trainee were kind and amazing. Overall worth the wait and would come back again

I took my son and his girlfriend for a celebration dinner as she loves Italian. We ordered an appetizer, three meals, lemonades and a cider. My son and I enjoyed our food very much. His girlfriend felt her food was too greasy (It looked good to me).
My complaint came when it was time to pay. I was given a bill for $87. Seemed reasonable to me. However, when I paid with my debit card, the bill went up to $99. I asked about it and was told it was a service charge of some sort. A $12 service fee seems over the top to me, so unfortunately I will probably not be returning.

This was our second time eating there. The first time, a couple of months ago, nearly half of the menu was unavailable though the food was good. This time, with only three tables occupied, the waiter didn't bring one of the two appetizers out until we have our entree and forgot to order the second appetizer at all. He then forgot our drink even after being asked a second time. It can't after the third attempt. The fonduta had already started to congeal and separate when we got it. The bread had so much pepper on it, it looked like sand, it was uneatable and I like pepper. We loved the fonduta the first time.

We dine here last night. Half the items on the menu were not available. I wanted their wonderful baseball size meatball in spaghetti sauce on the only pasta available. What arrived was spaghetti broken in half and hard to fork without getting it all over me. The “sauce” was shopped up whole tomatoes, carrots, onions without herbs or spices and tasteless. The 2 walnut size meatballs, that I had to pay $5 extra for, had no sauce on them & were so hard I couldn’t cut them in half. It seemed they either had freezer burn or overcooked in the microwave. I ask for a refund on the meatballs & their staff wouldn’t. I asked to talk to the owner, who we know, but he was unavailable. We will not be returning.
