2 times we had to send back hash browns because they were not cooked. The gravy had no flavor. The pre cooked sausage was cooked but cold in the middle. The only good thing was our server. He was amazing even with all the customers they had. Good made my dad sick so we will never go back there.

A wonderfully lit, friendly atmosphere. General level of discussion wasn’t overwhelmingly loud or awkwardly quiet. Food was fresh and delivered quickly.My previous visit last year was quite the opposite, so this is a very nice surprise and very much appreciated.

We ate at Denny's in Kelso, Washington on Friday, March 29 at 11:00 a.m. (prior to the lunch rush) and, while we usually have good food and good service, this day appeared to be an exception. It took nearly an hour to get our food. We split a 5-pepper vegetarian burger sandwich and shared onion rings. The vegeburger was excellent but the price was exhorbitant. The regular price of the burger was around $15, but they charged an additional $3 for substituting the vegeburger. (We'd never had this particular "brand" of vegetarian burger, and it was very good!) The onion rings tasted great, but we got 5 onion rings for $5.29--if you do the math, that is $1.05 per onion ring--a bit pricey. I mentioned it to the gentlemen who was at the register, but he didn't offer any explanation or discounts. Even with my husband and I sharing the meal, it still cost us nearly $30 (including the tip). I doubt we will be visiting Denny's again for lunch or dinner--we'll stick to breakfast.Vegetarian options: They offer a vegetarian burger substitute for the burgers. You can also get any of the omelets as a vegetarian option by leaving off the meat. There are plenty of other items on the menu that do not have meat in them, so there are choices.
