From the moment we walked in, Azteca made a strong impression. We were seated quickly, and the decorations immediately caught our attention. There is a lot of character in the space, and it sets the tone for a relaxed, enjoyable meal.
Service was excellent across the board. The busser, waitresses, and bartender were attentive, friendly, and genuinely interested in how we were enjoying everything. It never felt forced, just good, natural hospitality. Our order was taken quickly, and the bartender even offered drink recommendations and explained how she prepares them, which was a nice touch.
We went with the house margaritas, and they did not disappoint. Great flavor, the right amount of tequila, and a portion that actually feels worth the price. After visiting some of the “fancier” spots nearby and paying $18 or more for a small drink, it was refreshing to get something twice as good for about half the cost.
The food followed that same theme. We ordered the nachos and were immediately impressed by the portion size. Plenty to share, packed with flavor, and the picadillo meat was tender and delicious. The tortilla soup was another win. Rich, comforting, and exactly what you hope it will be. Every time we have visited, the consistency has been there.
One thing that really stood out was what hits the table right after you sit down. Warm chips served with both salsa and refried beans for dipping. The flavors were great, not overly spicy, and the free refills are hard not to appreciate these days. Honestly, that alone is enough reason to come back.
The ambiance deserves recognition too. The lighting is slightly dim without being dark, Spanish music plays in the background, and the bar is beautifully stocked. It creates the feeling of a lively Mexican gathering place. Azteca is not trying to be upscale, and that is exactly its strength. It is the kind of restaurant where you can show up with friends or family, relax, and just be yourself.
Overall, Azteca delivers in ways some higher priced restaurants miss. Great service, strong portions, solid flavors, fair prices, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. Definitely a place worth returning to.

Terrible service Valentine's day . We went with my husband. If you want something special and quiet this is not the place. Next table babies crying, screaming and throwing water and food... Last part, prices are double this day, half lemon 2 dls. You lost a client thank you.

Don't go on Taco Tuesday. Bad experience. Sat in the wrong place? Maybe. Was like we weren't even there. Try to get attention, and no one saw us. Asked three different people for various things and finally had to put my leg out and act like I was getting up. Chips were like the bottom of the bin. All you can eat tacos, my friend only ate one taco and wasn't happy about service. Asked if they could take home and told, no. They didn't even eat but ONE TACO, on the three they bring you. Usually very happy with Azteca. Maybe understaffed?? Manager was told by my wife about this and he acted interested, because she was over it and left the building. I was there another 10 minutes and never had anybody come talk to me. Oh well, maybe next time will be different, just Not going on TACO TUESDAY
