After watching several fb videos, I convinced my husband to do lunch here. Unfortunately, we were not impressed. :( If you know me, you know that I LOVE to support local small biz, but I was disappointed in the food and the service. 1. The buns for the burgers are tasty but for a single burger is way too much bread, compared to the inside. The flavor was not bad but it was very average. I have had much tastier burgers at the bars just down the street. 2. They had a speaker that was blaring music...the kind that makes you feel angry. We could barely hear each other talk and the music was super annoying. 3. There were 3 workers. One of them is the guy who posts on fb, so I assume he is the owner. None of them tried to strike a conversation with us. We were the only other people in their little picnic table area, other than the three of them who seemed more interested in their phones and smoking than first-time customers.

We drove through from White Salmon, Wa to try hot mess and it was the best burger we have had to date! Very fresh and well worth every penny! Had it on the way back from our trip as well. Definitely recommend trying the elote fries and the monster mess! We will be back!

5 stars!!!!! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ My husband and I visited today for the first time. I ate my entire burger, which was gigantic, and half a bag of fries. I would normally eat 1/3 of that but I couldn’t stop! We definitely recommend! Every thing was fresh, tasty and handmade including the sauces and cheese! Delish!

People working there were really nice. And super fast service! I have followed these guys for a year always missing them and today I went and man the burger is just about as big as Minors in Yakima, so full of flavor! And the fries are thick and delicious!

I have been a huge fan of Hot Mess for years. After reading a recent article that named a burger place in Tacoma as having the "Best Burger in Washington" I was outraged! The burger from that article looked like something I would get at a backyard bbq invited by some acquaintance that I don't really like that much but for some reason feel obligated to attend. The burgers at Hot Mess put all other burgers to shame. They have the best weekly specials, the friendliest chefs, owners, and employees, and they blast the best tunes while you are waiting for your food. Not only are their burgers amazing, but their fry specials, seasonal slushies, soups, and chicken strips are amazing. I can honestly say I have never had a chicken strip better than one at Hot Mess. Go check out Hot Mess so they can get their rightful spot as the best burgers in Washington.

The hype is indeed REAL here folks. My group of buddies and I stopped by to take a break from the Lucky Leprechaun Pub Crawl (an INSANE amount of people at the event).
Buns made from scratch everyday and they have some delicious menu options to choose from. I got the Hot Mess, which had cheese, lettuce, grilled jalapeño and onions. It lived up to its name because that thing was MESSSYYY! I don’t mind licking my fingers and looking like a weirdo in public because their “fire sauce” that came on the burger was phenomenal and indeed, very finger licking good!
The flavor of the beef and toppings were delicious and the buns were so soft that I wish I savored the burger a little longer by taking my time with it. I devoured the whole thing, which was an insane portion and one of the biggest smash burgers ever given to me, in just a few bites. I will 1000% come back to this establishment because their smash-burgers are top tier and will be recommending everyone to come and have some of their delicious food! Not a lot of places bake their own burger buns anymore either. The guy working that day was also very kind to our group as well!
