We tried their sandwiches, huge berry cake slice, oreo ice cream sandwich and the churro ice cream sandwich all were so delish!! Their wonderful customer service and inviting atmosphere was the cherry on the top! We will for sure be back!

The cooking classes are 5 stars and an absolute must do! Concetta and her Mom love what they do. It shows. It is so evident as they teach the cooking classes that they are living their dream and loving it. They are fun, knowledgeable, and have created such a welcoming environment. I was blown away, I’ve lived in the Tri-Cities much of my life and feel proud to have such an awesome small locally owned business that is excelling at what they’ve set out to do. If you haven’t made it in for a class, do it. It is 100% worth it. I’ve taken cooking classes in Japan, Italy, and in various cities across the US and hands down this is the best I’ve ever attended. They are great!

Absolute best bakery in Kennewick. Tried for the first time yesterday their pizza with capacolla on it, the crust was perfect and so fluffy. Really looking forward to my next time downtown to pick up a piece.

Could not say better things about their pasta making classes! It was so well organized and curated. I couldn’t believe how much the kids were into it. They absolutely loved it. My daughter talked about it for weeks, as did I. Would be great for a private birthday party, shower or bachelorette party. The ladies who put it on were 10 out of 10!

Layered did the cake for my wedding! We loved the design, the range of flavors they offered, and the bright friendly personalities of the wonderful women who run Layered. Now, I'm someone who generally hates cake due to the sweetness. Layered makes the absolute best cakes I've ever had! Light on the sweetness without compromising the flavors, and their buttercream pairs with the cake perfectly! Also, their fruit tarts are so delicious!

4 Weddings and Then Some…. Concetta’s Cake Building and Decorating Class kicked off my wedding cake career for my own daughter’s wedding and also for 3 of her close friends! I could not have done this without knowing the skill of cake building! I have now taken this particular class twice and I learned even more the second time to take these skills to the next level. Not only are Concetta, sister Elena, and Mamma Marie very entertaining Italians, Concetta is a very talented instructor! She teaches you the movements, the hand holds, body posture, time and temperature of your cake and buttercreams and other essentials of your tools and ingredients so you end up with the skills and a beautiful end product. Highly recommend this for every Home Baker or for a fun event out with your family and friends to learn a new skill and bring something yummy home. Yes, you too can make your own daughter’s Wedding Cake!!!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE everything this shop has to offer! Layered provided the desserts for our party and everything was absolutely phenomenal! I recommend everything on the menu because they are all THAT GOOD! My husband is a cheesecake fan and loved the individual cups, I love the custard tarts and chocolate eclairs! The filled black cocoa cookies are so yummy- seriously, we loved everything! Every product was made so beautifully and even the chocolate strawberries had some gold leaf to complement our color scheme. Coincidentally, the caterer used items from this bakery in their setup for us as well!

We've also taken some of the classes and my kids keep asking to sign up for more!

I recently had a custom cake made for a small celebration. Elena was wonderful to work with! The cake was beautifully designed & looked stunning — I could not wait to cut into it! Unfortunately, the taste was very underwhelming. The texture was very dry & lacked the flavor I was hoping for which was disappointing considering the effort put into the presentation. The guests each took one bite & that’s as far as it went. I chose Layered Cake to support a small business plus their work looked incredible online. However, after being disappointed with my order, I spoke to others & found similar experiences. While I appreciate the attention to detail on the decoration, the flavor just wasn’t there.

I was very disappointed with the quality if my sons 21st bday cake. It was so dense, dry and hard to cut. Most guests left their piece on the plate and I ended up throwing all away. It was such a disappointment, not just for the cost, but also because I really wanted to support this business.

They made my wedding cake and I had asked for a few things to be changed after recieving my cake and they were so understanding and patient with me and were able to make the perfect wedding cake. Absolutely wonderful to work with and by far one of the best tasting carrot cakes I have ever had.
