Tokyo Sushi & Teriyaki

Passing through Kennewick and found this Japanese restaurant. Ordered the teriyaki chicken bento because if they can’t get that right nothing else is going to be good. Overall, the bento was a disappointment. Tempura pieces weren’t crispy, just rubbery. Grilled chicken seemed like they had been reheated. At least the miso soup was good. Hostess that took the order was friendly and helpful and that may be worth giving this place a second try.

5 stars for food, service and atmosphere. Reason I gave 4 stars was simply because of beer selection otherwise highly recommend. Great food and the black saki was amazing

I'm just visiting Kennewick, but found this place across from the hotel. I haven't had a spicy chicken teriyaki this good since I left Seattle. Very spicy and tender chicken. Tasty rice. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. I'll come back every time I visit Kennewick!

Our family had the best service by Savannah! Wow she just knew how to serve up the kids and everything came out timely and perfect. She was so nice and personable. We haven’t had exceptional service like this in a while!

Unfortunately, the food was cold and lacked flavor. I had General Tso’s chicken with teriyaki chicken. My parents split a chicken teriyaki. We not impressed by the food. The food came out quickly and our server was awesome. May have been just an off night in the kitchen. I think their main focus is on the sushi.

This place was so nice! The food is yummy and prepared very well. The Miso Soup is the
Best and the Teriyaki Chicken dish was so flavorful. I highly recommend this place!

Sushi was good, the rice, meat and vegetables I got didn't seem any better than Panda Express. Unfortunately, I was charged the total of the 5 item order but was shorted two sushi. Interior was nice.

Sat down to eat dinner and did not get acknowledge by one employee for 5mins. No menu no water no friendly welcome. Got up and walked out. Terrible first experience.

Disappointing Experience at Tokyo Sushi & Teriyaki

I am a huge fan of sushi and have always enjoyed trying different styles of cuisine. Unfortunately, my recent visit to Tokyo Sushi & Teriyaki was a significant letdown.

From the moment we arrived, the service was subpar. Our waiter seemed disengaged, unresponsive, and even appeared to be under the influence, which greatly affected our dining experience. He didn't answer our questions adequately, rarely checked on us, and we had to go to him to request the check. Our drinks were never refilled, and the lack of attentiveness was frustrating.

The sushi itself was another disappointment. The rolls lacked the fresh taste and quality I’ve come to expect from sushi, making this the first time I've ever not enjoyed a sushi roll at a restaurant.

To make matters worse, the children’s food arrived cold, adding to the overall negative experience.

Overall, the lack of service and substandard food made for an unenjoyable visit to Tokyo Sushi & Teriyaki I hope they can make improvements, but as it stands, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

I love Tokyo fried rice but …other things, always something….
I order sushi but why they use cucumbers skin for sushi?? For crunchy…. Don’t understand…..

Carry-out order. Clean. Courteous hostesses. Excellent Teriyaki Chicken and sushi rolls. Will eat here again.
