Wow!!! We got the Detroit spicy Hawaiian and it was fantastic. Lots of cheese, sauce, and toppings atop a perfect crust. I'm convinced the poorer reviews come from those that failed to plan for ferry departures. We will for sure be coming back.

After reading some of the reviews you would think the workers get put the “sour” in sourdough, but they couldn’t be further from the truth.

We picked up a pizza before hopping in the ferry, and were greeted with two friendly faces upon arrival. Our food was hot and ready!

We ordered a Detroit spicy Hawaiian, loved every bite of it. The crust was crispy on the outsides but doughy on the inside, plenty of cheese & toppings.

I think all the negative reviews are a result of poor planning or people being upset accommodations can’t be made. I myself have two pretty severe allergies, but I would never blame a restaurant for not being able to accommodate to my very specific needs.

Did not have a good experience on my first and only visit. It took forever to get our order and we had somewhere to be for the ass to box it up. They brought it out hot and then said oh yeah he wanted to go and brought us back an old sale, pulled pizza in a box which we were already in the car when we figured it out. They were very inattentive with the service at several times for drink. I’m so sad. Looking forward to it.

I came in to order four pizzas for takeout. Two of those pizzas needed to be gluten and dairy free. First I tried to order my pizza and was told that I can’t build my own. You HAVE to order one of the choices on the menu. Alright, not ideal but hey maybe their vaunted sourdough crust was so good it would be worth it? Extra cheese? No they don’t do that, they can subtract but not add ingredients. Alright I’ll still give them the benefit of the doubt. Now for the gluten and dairy free… well they can’t do dairy free because the cheese is in the sauce, so that be a pizza without sauce. Obviously if you can’t do cheese you definitely want sauce. So I figured I’d still go ahead with the two pizzas that weren’t gluten free and pick up the other two at Westside. I pull out my Amex card to pay. Oh no, we don’t Amex. Alright that isn’t super unusual, so I pull out cash. No! They don’t take cash either. At this I am laughing out loud at the absurdity of it. Why don’t they take cash? Employee theft according to the gal serving me. Interestingly reading some of the reviews here they claimed to not take cash because of the pandemic. I guess they just make up new excuses on the fly. Well fine, I paid with my Visa and waited a longer than usual amount of time for the Pizzas and then went over to Westside to get the other pizzas. Westside was a breeze. Build your own, Amex? Sure they take everything. No dairy? No problem they even have dairy free cheese for the win. So you remember that vaunted sourdough crust, made from ancient starter? Meh… it was one of most mundane pizza crusts I have ever had, oh and the amount of cheese was inadequate. I know where I will be going for pizza and it will most definitely NEVER be Sourdough Willy’s!

Absolutely horrible wait time and completely incompetent host staff. Waited forever for a table, while other tables were obviously available. The staff has no idea how to run a restaurant.

Detroit pizza is tasty and fun but very very limited veggie options and a very inflexible no substitution policy. The chef is always right.

Didn’t get to try the food. Ordered and paid for a pizza for takeout while waiting for the ferry. Waited at the bar for 25 minutes. Watched the cooks make ONE pizza in that time period, and not mine. My ferry is now boarding for I have to RUN out of the shop back to my car where they almost don’t let me on. I said I was waiting on the ferry when I ordered and they didn’t think to tell me it would be 30+ minutes for one pizza. Now the service staff are going to take that pizza in the back and eat it. I’m pretty irate right now.

Came here for a friend’s birthday (4 adults and 1 child). We ordered one beautiful salad and a pizza, and still had leftovers! It was so good, we came back the next day for a pickup order of some pastas (Smokey mac & vodka rigatoni), roasted beet salad, and a simple cheese pizza. The food that night was delicious. I recommend the pear arugula salad over the beet salad.

These folks make an amazing pizza. Crazy good crust plus they put a nice char on the crust. I walked through the door as dude was pulling a pie out of a tri-level oven...a tri-level oven!!!! The stuff of legends. Then he puts the pizza back in the oven!!!!! My mind was blown. I asked dude why and he says "Bro, you gotta get the crust just right". I knew then that my pizza was in the hands of a professional. Just go get a pizza from them....just go. Enjoy the char.
