Love the place and Kingston itself. I dined here when I visit this place. Very cozy and friendly place to be. Love the scenery. Their food is amazing like the crab melt & their clam chowder. Would recommend this place to everyone who wants to come here and enjoy their beautiful day or weekend. Will give them 5 star rating.

We have to take a ferry to go over to Kingston to eat there, but 100% worth it! My cousin raved about his cioppino. Unfortunately it's been a minute so I can't remember what I had but I know it was fabulous. Oh, and my wife had the chowder which was also fabulous.

Was looking to order a Clam Chowder Sourdough bowl. They only have salmon chowder in a bowl. The salmon chowder was good, and I may try something else possibly next time. We were seated in covered heated patio by a few ladies. I've tried getting their attention several times throughout our dine, which they've ignored us, but the table by us they answered their questions or got them their waitress. Our waitress was nice and helpful but very rushed and busy. But, she tried her best with a smile.

Surprisingly good food for an ale house with wide choice of foods including great choices of healthy foods and combos. I had a wonderful chicken caprese salad. Lettuce was very fresh and crispy. Chicken was well prepared and had a light dressing of balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Cool combination of tomatoes, strawberries and avocados in the salad in discrete sections to mix to my liking.

Staff was very patient with our party as we were 3 old friends meeting up for the first time in a few years coming from all different directions. It took us a long time to get over our initial hellos and actually look at the menu. We timed our lunch so it didn’t correspond with heavy ferry waiting so we had the luxury of being able to sit longer to visit without a line of people trying to get in.

Would definitely eat here again. Can’t wait for the warmer weather to sit out on the deck!

The Kingston Ale House is a pub only a few hundred feet off the Kingston ferry. Very easy to get to with quite a good amount of parking around. They have a bunch of tables in the front and back, plus a bar in the front area coupled with a few TVs usually playing sports. Their menu is a good size, with mostly pub style food that's quick and easy along with a few entrees. Their fish & chips, burgers and wraps are pretty good, and although a bit pricey for what they are, the portion sizes are good. The staff here are very nice and love to chat. Overall this is a solid choice if you're around the ferry and waiting around or don't want to go too far away from the dock

I hate the award-winning Salmon chowder. I asked to see the award and they couldn't find it. That the shelter was fantastic. Seemed like a nice bunch of people there.

Disappointed that our family meet up to celebrate my birthday was a bust. Our 3 year old granddaughter was so excited to bring a birthday cake from Seattle. We were told we’d incur a $20 fee. Ridiculous. We grabbed napkins from our car and ate it at the park. Disappointed with the Ale House. Next year, back to Sour Dough Willie’s. They welcomed us and our cake last year!!

Love this spot! They knock it outta the park on so many levels. Never ever left without a full tummy and happy glow. It's a home away from home kinda cool place with the best karaoke (9:30pm until close Fridays and Saturdays) that's conveniently located (close to the ferry, marina, and Kingston proper).

Vegetarian options: Available. Also, they are willing to modify menu itens, when possible, to accommodate diners.

Kid-friendliness: Kiddos are welcome (until 9:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays).

Wheelchair accessibility: Disabled friendly

Loved it! So happy we stopped here! Amazing food and very welcoming wait staff. Highly recommend!! The smoked salmon chowder is a must try. My crabcakes were so delicious - very light and tasted so fresh. Hope we venture back this way again someday, and we will definitely stop in for a fun meal!
