Grabbed a quick bite coming off the ferry. Really great food at a reasonable price served in seconds. The picnic tables outside and music made for a nice 30 minute holiday!

Last weekend we got married and our venue host had highly recommended the Saucy Sailor, after having them the night before at a wedding. I went out to try the different meals that they offered and was pleasantly surprised. Previous to that I had been in contact with the owners who were just all around amazing and very warm and welcoming. The food was perfect the day of! Everyone loved it. I was super happy with the fact that we were able to have multiple meals, four in fact, for our guest to choose from. They made up menus of the options so that everyone could choose what they wanted ahead of time. Filling portions and my favorite part is that at the end they don’t throw the left over food out, they make them into pies and freeze them for you to come pick up! This whole week I have been making them for dinner. 10/10 recommend for catering! All around good people, great food, and wonderful service.

What a fun place to walk up to near the Kingston Ferry and Marina - The Saucy Sailor is an authentic gourmet British Take-Away with a great selection of food like Cottage Pie, Bangers and Mash, Thai Curry, Pork BBQ, and a 99 Flake for dessert! They even offer free samples when you stop to look at the menu. Great service and there was no wait - served in seconds once you choose.

This is the best restaurant in Washington. I'm originally from the East Coast, moved here 5 years ago from NYC. I've been to some amazing restaurants all over the US and Europe and this place is in my top 5. Worth the ferry ride. Owner is super nice, great to chat with, and the food is unbelievably good.

For 15$ it was weak. I took cottage something and it contained ~5-10 g of protein which is frustrating

The shepherd’s pie and Thai curry were excellent.

I don’t usually crave this type of food, so I hadn’t tried them until today. That was a mistake. One bite of the shepherd’s pie (they offer free samples) and I knew I’d been missing out. My wife and I split the Thai curry and shepherd’s pie, and both were fantastic. We are very pleased.

Tried samples of the cottage pie and stroganoff. Glad there were two of us so we could order both and share, so delicious 😋

What a gem of a place! Super quick (we’re talking just moments to get your food), easy walk from the ferry, free samples, and the most lovely and warm owners. We will definitely be coming back! Heck, I may take the ferry over just to grab lunch from them.

A family owned business (husband is English), they have rotating vegan dishes. Try the vegan cottage pie and the vegan bean stew and they were delicious. The bean stew tasted like the Heinz beans except a really posh and yummy fresh version. The cottage pie was made with TVP and it was so flavorful. Really hit the spot on a cold day to have these hearty meals for a reasonable price ($14). Love having these vegan options in such a small town.

EDIT THIS IS HOW YOU RUN A BUSINESS !!! super happy the owner replied and took advice !!!!! :)) again this food was AMAZING!!!

CELIACS BEWARE they promote as gluten free but will give you a side croissant . when i saw the giant GF sign i would hope the whole plate is gluten free but in tiny writing somewhere else on the menu it says ask for gluten free sides???? i hoped opening my advertised gluten free plate it would ALL BE GLUTEN FREE but i was almost poisoned by that hope. thankfully i looked at the croissant and have trust issues and went again to ask only to be told its not gluten free , the rest of the food was excellent but this place should be more true to their large gluten free circle sticker because not everyone will see the tiny writing. this is slight false advertisement! please fix this owners ! i would love to come back the food is amazing just had my hopes up thinking a celiac girl could eat a gluten free croissant 💔
