Meatball sub, generous number of meatballs, spicy marinara, on a bun that stood the test of time ( and reheating!) great service too. Two full meals out of the sandwich. Peanut butter milkshake creamy and well blended fantastico! Drive in is a bit confusing but well worth it!
I have always enjoyed this place in the past, but just today... After feeling like I was being asked to add a tip to an over $30 tab for 1 sandwich and 2 small shakes, I requested our sandwich be cut into 3 sections instead of two. After being handed two drinks the dropped all over my hands, we were given our bag and left. The two shakes seemed like they were missing the shake mix entirely, and the sandwich was only cut in half (but not even entirely through the sandwich).
At this point I won't ever be talking the Canna Cabana up any more, won't refer people to it, likely won't eat there again myself, and quite likely share today's events when someone else mentions them.
Very fresh unique sandwiches and milkshakes
The bread is fire! Quick for being person working. Foods always quality and the owner is a local here.
Best sandwich I’ve had in Washington since moving out of NY. Family-owned shop with great people.
This place is the best. Perfect shake thickness with tons of flavor. Sandwichs are awesome, I switch between 4-5. John Gotti is a solid choice with lots of meat. The purple haze is another favorite, the blackberry jam is really good it doesn't taste fake and weird like other places.
Y’all, this is for sure my favorite sub shop, and I’ve gotta share this.
I eat here like 4x a month, don’t judge me, so I know how good they are. Anyways, 2 visits ago, I ordered a sub with no mayo, like usual, but I never said it’s for a mild allergy, just “no mayo, please.” There ended up being some mayo on it, and I couldn’t eat it! I mean that was totally on me for not saying it was for an allergy. 🤦♀️
But the next time I stopped by, I let the owner (wife) know it was an allergy and I explained what happened previously. Y’all! She was so sweet and fully comped my sub, even though that was my fault last time. She’s always so nice, and I love chatting with her when I stop by.
I go to the Marvin Rd location, and it’s definitely my go-to for a freaking reason! They really care about their customers and always try to make things right, plus the subs are to die for.
So if you’ve got an allergy, make sure to let them know!
PS. Please try the gooey balls!!!

A unique original menu utilizing high quality ingredients. Hands down the best around from either location. Super Friendly.
I ordered a large Fire sandwich to go on a Friday evening around 5:30. There were three people ahead of me waiting for their orders, so I expected to wait a bit. It was 30 minutes before I got mine. I was excited to try this sandwich I heard so much about: delicious, stuffed with meat, etc. I put half in the fridge and unwrapped the other half. I expected it to be squished, but did not expect it to be so thin, even though I ordered without cheese. I opened the sandwich and there was lettuce, lots of jalapenos, a 1-inch piece of bacon, and a small amount of thinly sliced turkey. I unwrapped the other sandwich and found it was the same except for it had 3 small pieces of bacon. Everything was drowning in mayo sauce. I was so disappointed. I rewrapped the other sandwich, and ate the first one. It was ok. Bread delicious as advertised, but overall it tasted like a mayo, lettuce, and jalapeno sandwich. I did not want to call them out on social media and you cannot FB message them so I emailed pictures along with telling them my experience. I heard nothing back. I finally replied to one of their posts and got a snarky response. When the owner realized I was serious along with me posting a picture, he said that wasn't up to their standards and I could call or come by to have my sandwich replaced. I thanked him and said I would come by the next time I was in the area. That next time was yesterday. I drove 30 minutes out of my way to come by after a Spring Break trip with my grandchildren. I introduced myself to the owner and he remembered me. He said I was supposed to call so we could talk and after reviewing the photos, there was nothing wrong with my sandwich and he would not be replacing it. Conveniently, the post where that discussion took place has been taken down. He also explained how many ounces of turkey go on each size of sandwich. I worked in food service many years and know my way around a food scale. I thanked him and left. I don't need my order replaced by someone who reneges on their promise to make things right, but I will surely make sure everyone knows my experience.

So years after talking about it, and years after just getting milkshakes, I FINALLY got a sandwich from Canna Cabana. I'm an idiot for waiting so long. Friendly service, and a delicious sandwich. I went pretty "basic" with the "Super Dank" - Turkey, ham, bacon, provolone, and crushed Doritos - I did cool ranch. Super fresh, crisp lettuce, nice tomato, just a good solid sandwich. About the same price point as big chains, but way better... BUT... and this is a big BUT DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT wear overalls and eat this sandwich while driving. It was a literal storm of crushed Doritos in my pants when I got home. So many Doritos. So ranchy. This will however, make your dogs VERY happy when you come home, change only to shower them with Dorito crumbs like it's New Years in Times Square.
Our only complaint is that on our last two visits, they have mixed up the bread for each sandwich.

Honestly leaving a one star review due to the fact they don’t follow their posted hours. I really wanted to try this spot out, got there shortly before 11 and waited no one showed up by 11:07 so had to leave
