The German Diner in Lacey is absolutely incredible. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the warmth and heart that goes into this place. The owner, Miriam, is amazing and truly makes the experience special. You can tell she pours so much love into everything she creates. The menu is full of delicious homemade dishes inspired by traditional German favorites, and every bite is comforting and flavorful. Everything tastes fresh, authentic, and thoughtfully prepared. It honestly made my day stopping in here.
If you’re looking for amazing food, a welcoming atmosphere, and a restaurant that feels like home, this spot is a must visit. I can’t recommend it enough.

Food was SPECTACULAR, made fresh! It takes about an hour for Schnitzels to cook so bring some good company for the wait. An easy to miss Golden spot, family owned, with a cozy and quiet atmosphere. I recommend to order ahead if you're not willing to wait but otherwise the food is VERY DELICIOUS. I HIGHLY recommend the Garlic Schnitzel! 🐮

The very basic interior and occasional very slow service might give you pause, but the food that comes out of the kitchen will win you over instantly. They have an excellent beer selection as well. I can't get enough of that dark lager.

The German Diner is the best German food near Lacey! They have every kind of schnitzel you can imagine, but our favorite is Holzfäller (covered with bacon, egg, sauteed onions). This special dish is not found at any other German restaurant in our region. It is well worth the wait! They also have great desserts.
