Smelled amazing outside but very awkward experience as a customer. I just felt like I was bothering everyone by being there. Cafe and mercantile are separate, which is not immediately apparent (this is a review of the mercantile). If you walk into the mercantile, only the first little room that looks like an entryway is customer-accessible. I was sent next door to a closed cafe. Cafe was closed due to very light snow (less than 1/4” at closure time). Two women were outside leaving and looked at me like what are you doing here? I wanted to get some whole bean from the mercantile but I felt like I was bothering them so I left without buying anything. I came all the way out from Seattle too, what a bummer. I hope this is a one off bad day, but I probably won’t be returning because the vibe was way off. Speaking of vibes-a lot of their responses to reviews are… odd? Not sure what’s going on here.
The cafe next door that serves their coffee was closed for remodel so we weren't able to sit and enjoy the coffee. We purchased a few bags and made a quick trip of it. The place is not much of a mercantile as it really just sells branded coffee merch.

They are affiliated with Steve from Whidbey boat rentals. He is a known pedophile and he lies about his dishonorable discharge from the military. Any company that associates with a pedophile is not a company I would ever give a dime to.
Best coffee and its ORGANIC and FAIR!

I have only ordered coffee on line and I love the Happy Hippie .
Worth going to check it out. The seabiscuit Cafe has delicious food, bakes their own bread and pastries and brews Mukilteo coffee. Some of the best in the PNW. Take the ferry and visit and I promise you will enjoy this place for a quiet cup of amazing coffee and delicious baked goods.

Best coffee ever!
Decent food and coffee.
Spacious, delicious, gracious, yum! ☕️ ?
The best people are at Mukilteo Coffee Roasters! I love coming up to see the roasting and have the freshest roasted coffee. I was a commercial customer for years and I got top notch service from the owners all the way down to the delivery people. Keep roasting!!

This is now the location of Sea Biscuit Bakery, the food is different and the bakery is amazing. Staff is fantastic they also have Matcha green tea and I added Lavender to my Matcha per suggestion from the manager. It was amazing. The staff is amazing and always smiling :) Went there today for lunch with my son they were busy. I had the Caesar Wraps they are huge and so good. We shared a strawberry/blueberry danish which was also amazing. The atmosphere is perfect ohh and during the summer you can bring your dog and sit out in the back patio and eat :) Will do this next time and bring Bella :)
Bad service, forgot about me, was ignored and still charged me for cold food that I didn’t eat...Yes they dont serve food from the mercantile, but where they serve the food, they gave subpar service and now they are dismissing me!
Half the time I show up to enjoy their good food and nice atmosphere they are closed early and will not serve. Even though online their hours may be listed until 3 PM they will often close before noon. If you decide to make the trip be sure to call and clarify their hours for the day.
Super friendly and just yum. Vanilla Mt. Baker? Yes please!
