Where to start? The place was crowded so had to wait..their wait time texting app was informative and time flew by. The staff was friendly and upbeat. The happy service was timely, for the island, and the meals were outstanding. Our friends opted for lunch and the scrumptious looking Rueben sandwiches...wow, loaded with meat. We decided to try breakfast, wife had "the mash" which was tasty, ample and filling. I wanted to experiment on something unusual...and had "the nasty"...what a treat and so much food. The chicken, yes chicken, was done to perfection, with one of the best and crispiest coatings. The biscuit and sausage gravy were top tier. Oh yes, they served strong, robust, and hot coffee...worth the cost. This was a very positive experience...and we are going back.

Everything I’ve had on their lunch and breakfast menus have been amazing, I tried the veggie burger for dinner and it seemed to be house made and good quality just not for me.

It's remarkable how quickly you can jump in the car, onto a ferry, and find yourself strolling thru galleries and shops in the wonderful little town of Langley. We left early and were in town to get our names down for breakfast at the Braeburn. Wait was a little long but ample street parking, a glass shop next door, and the greatest island store (and cooking store) will fill your time easily. Sit down to a great breakfast, and a Bloody Mary served in glasses hand blown next door! I'm one of those guys that always adds a third egg to my Benedict, and is a Hollandaise snob, and these guys passed with flying colors. Great hosts and waitstaff and the food came out fresh with an eye on quality. Perfectly poached. We both got the same thing, but the Chicken and waffles looked amazing as well! This will be our new 'every time' place when we visit.

Great food and service. I would highly recommend it. They are almost always busy so sometimes you have to wait awhile. The ambience is comfortable

Told us about a "writelist" that was "full" so we left. As we're leaving a much larger group comes in they get told about the write list and then were seated anyways. The write list was for the bar but we were never given an option in terms of seating. I was well dressed, clean and my hair might have been too windy swept for her judgement. Who knows why she decided to be racist.Just not worth coming here.

I ordered the Tuna melt. The menu indicated it was a hot sandwich with melted cheese. It turned out to be a cold Tuna sandwich on grilled bread with no cheese. When I asked if I was given the sandwich I was told no . I was told they don't use much cheese and nothing is melted.Whatttttttt!

Such a hard review to write. Everyone has an off day and unfortunately it was one of those today we felt. Not sure if it's the chief that's been changed or what. The last time we came the chicken and waffles were so amazing that we kept wanting to come back. And we tried coming back three times in the past but we were not never able to get a table due to its popularity or we showed up on a day that's closed. Today we brought other grandparents & the kids and after patiently waited 90mins for our table and waiting another full hour for our food. We were sourly disappointed with our food. The batter for the fried chicken was extremely salty. The waffles came out cold and hard as a cardboard. Such a shame we had such a good experience last time we have been dying to come back for so long.

My wife and I came to Whidbey Island for a weekend getaway at a friend's house, who recommended this place. We were only on the island for a weekend but ended up coming here twice. Everything is nice about this place -- charming area, friendly and kind staff, and the food is very delicious, with some very unique items. I particularly loved the seared oats. If you are an oatmeal lover you will love this. It was warm, with almost a grilled taste and was topped with yummy cinnamon apples and a cream sauce. My wife enjoyed the tuna melt with caesar salad. There's also housemade jam on the table to enjoy with toast or biscuits. If you are in the area please stop by this place.
