First time here and was very impressed!

5 stars for the food - we tried a bit of everything and it was all very tasty! Breakfast sandwich and the shakshouka were highlights for us.

5 stars for the service - super friendly and helpful staff

4 stars for the atmosphere - really cool little place but it is a tight fit at times. They do have an outdoor section but I do wish it was a bit bigger. Very clean and in a cool part of town.

5 stars for the prices - nothing outrageous given it is a resort/tourist town. Very reasonable.

Highly recommend!

We've eaten at this little place a couple times now and the food has always been great. Creative flavors.

You have to walk up some stairs to get up, this is not wheelchair friendly. And we had to wait outside, since the inside was tiny. If it was warmer weather, it wouldn't be an issue, but we were fairly cold. It didn't take too long though to get in. They were very friendly and perfectly okay with us splitting our shakshuka meal. We also got the chicken sausages which were very tasty! Good place if you want something warm and a bit of a break from German food while in Leavenworth.

We were really hoping for a great breakfast, but were really disappointed. We ended up getting seated outside in the tent area which was freezing. Both my wife and I were disappointed with the food. My waffle was really small and just not very good. I also ordered one egg. My meal was about $20 which would be fine if it was good and if I hadn't left totally hungry. The service was not great either.

Bear Bear absolutely nailed it.

I learned to make grits from a Louisiana grandma, so I do not say this lightly. These checked every box. Garlic, creamy, rich, and then the chili crisp took them completely over the top. So, so good.

Add in kind, attentive service and a cozy, grounded space, and it made for a perfect snowy morning. I went in alone and left very happy. I will be thinking about those grits until my next visit.

Bear Bear falls into an unfortunately all too common category of restaurants that boast unique and hip menus with disappointing results. They offer an uncommon list of ingredients and combine them into meals with silly names to draw your attention, but really, this place is overpriced, it doesn't have consistent quality control with the cooking, and the admittedly inattentive service was all a huge let down.

Waffles were fantastic

Grits and biscuits and gravy overshot in being fancy- they weren't bad but nowhere near as good as the classics

Apple cider tasted like it was from the packet

YUM! We had a party of 10 and received excellent service. Food was amazing and we stayed cozy warm with the table heaters. It was a beautiful day in Leavenworth.

Worst food in Leavenworth. Chicken and waffles were awful, burger had 0 seasoning, syrup was not good at all, and the sever was extremely sarcastic. 1/10 don’t recommend.

This is the best breakfast I have had in a very long time. I had the eggs benny and it slapped. 10/10. They were full on a Sunday morning and we sat on the back patio in 19* weather. They did a pretty good job of heating the space with propane heaters but it was still about 50* in there. Bring blankets if you aren’t able to sit inside. Absolutely still worth it.

We had an amazing breakfast at Bear Bear. The shakshuka, grits with sausage and greens, and smoked salmon latkes were fantastic. I highly recommend stopping here for a meal.
