It was ok. I thought we were going to a steakhouse. It was just a hotel restaurant, the Gifu's and pretzel was good. But not as expected.
The food was amazing. We tried the chowder which was some of the best I have had. The fondue was also a fun treat and the burger had great flavor as well. The service was sadly not the best. Our waitress was wearing leggings which for the price point of this restaurant is inappropriate attire and she seemed annoyed with our presence. The noise level was fine when we got there as it was not busy but I did notice as it filled up it got louder. The train however fun was dull humm that added to the noise when the room started to fill up. Over all I would recommend and will visit again.
Great service and a family friendly ambiance. My toddler really enjoyed watching the toy train that circles the restaurant along the wall near the ceiling.
Nice food with a view of mountains

We all loved our meals, and each was different. One of the great things about JJ Hills is that there is something for everyone, no matter what your taste. Large portions and all very tasty at a great price, especially in a resort area. Very friendly, cheerful, and and helpful waitress. Highly recommend it.
Food was very mediocre, especially for such a high cost. Several places within walking difference are significantly better quality. Staff was nice but slow and had difficulty understanding basic requests or questions. Food was extremely slow getting out. Staff (or cook) made mistakes on order.

Restaurant opened when we arrived for our 5pm reservation. We were promptly seated. Waitress took our full order about ten minutes later. We ordered two “happy hour” appetizers, pretzel and bruschetta(3 small pieces) they arrived 20 minutes later, 5:30pm Main meal: came 5:50pm, 40 minutes arfter we ordered, we even noticed other tables sat after us already served their main meals. Wurst two -6” links, weird tasting potato salad, sauerkraut was ok. $28 seems pricey for the dish. Salad Special, ordered and receipt stated “on the Side”, but too much dressing was “On” the salad. Good Hamburger special- decent burger, with pickles on a roll, plus lots of French fries. We like good food, we were disappointed here! Brian

Our waitress was the best part of the experience. The food is mediocre at best. The place was empty so word has certainly traveled.

Wasn't overly impressed with their fondue and a bit surprised by the price, definitely not the worst place I ever ate though. I saw some prices from the menu posted on a review and I thought I would update as they have gone up quite a lot since then...

The steak (in the steak salad) was over done, the kids burger was burned, and the short rib pappardelle was basically beef stew and noodles. The service was fine (she was very courteous) but food was slow. Skip this restaurant if staying at the resort and go into town instead.
For the price, you're going to be ten times better off across the street at Heidleburger. The quality of food was incredibly underwhelming. The lady who answered the phone to take our order was very short with us, interrupted me at least three times and then refused to repeat what she was saying while talking over me. As an executive chef with over 25 years in the restaurant industry, i was incredibly disappointed with the food. This review has nothing to do with the resort itself, the staff at the resort is great and we'll definitely be making the stay, a family tradition.

The restaurant offers classic American fare in a setting that feels a bit worn but has plenty of local character. Food came out in about 10–20 minutes. Service was laid-back and decent—nothing fancy, but it fits the small-town vibe.

Music from private event was entirely too loud, could hear it in room and ruined the ambiance of the outdoor seating at dinner. The waitress seemed rushed even though the restaurant was hardly busy, she had 5 tables I think. Then her boyfriend came in and she told him to not order from the menu as it wasn't very good and that the plate she could get him from the private event would be much better. He seemed happy with that plate of food, but even happier when she was kissing him. Our chicken schnitzel (because they were out of the pork) wasn't very tasty, the gravy was cold and the breading was mushy. Desert we ordered the apple strudel. That wasn't that good either... mushy and the warm vanilla cream was cold, the caramel didn't taste like caramel. Overall it was a sad experience to be had when celebrating your anniversary.
