J J Hills Fresh Grill Restaurant in Leavenworth

Music from private event was entirely too loud, could hear it in room and ruined the ambiance of the outdoor seating at dinner. The waitress seemed rushed even though the restaurant was hardly busy, she had 5 tables I think. Then her boyfriend came in and she told him to not order from the menu as it wasn't very good and that the plate she could get him from the private event would be much better. He seemed happy with that plate of food, but even happier when she was kissing him. Our chicken schnitzel (because they were out of the pork) wasn't very tasty, the gravy was cold and the breading was mushy. Desert we ordered the apple strudel. That wasn't that good either... mushy and the warm vanilla cream was cold, the caramel didn't taste like caramel. Overall it was a sad experience to be had when celebrating your anniversary.

Fondue was good. Had the pasta and it was under seasoned. Outdoor seating adjacent to a pool full of kids. Wouldn't go back.

Very nice dining experience. We were looking for somewhere that was providing St. Patrick Day food and drinks and were not disappointed! Service and ambiance were on point. Food was delicious and fresh - we had the steak skewers as an appetizer, The Murphy sandwich (Reuben) and Shephards Pie. Colcannon was outstanding! Restaurant was clean and comfortable. Would dine here again!

I loved the clamps chowder with salad. Our waitress was super friendly and took care of us really well.

We dined here for Valentine's Day. They had a special for couples. Atmosphere was good, they had live music which was fun. But the food and drinks were not good. I ordered some strawberry rhubarb vodka drink which was not good, tasted like chemicals to me personally. Then we got the “flank steak” which was so bad. It looked like they cut the whole center aka the best part of the steak out and filled it with some weird cheesy filling which was not good. There was almost zero actual steak. The dessert was some super dry waffles with cream on top. Honestly we were just so extremely disappointed. Spent $100 and left sick and hungry

Quality food. Amazing service. Charmin setting. A little train on the ceiling and paintings on the walls. Not a lot of seating.

Received an email to confirm my reservation, and in this was things like dress code. It said, "Business Casual". Boy, am I glad I didn't go out and buy new slacks! Should've got the clue from the menu items, but did get the email. Will know better next time.

Our server provided great service despite being the only one for the entire place! There was another server who was barely helping her. The food was great! The servings for the kids had great proportions! I recommend the old-fashion! The pretzel is small but the taste is also really good!

Despite having made reservations a week in advance for 6 people celebrating a big birthday, they were closed. We were told they were under staffed and decided to close for a few days. A phone call would have been nice. They really left us in a bind. Not cool.

Garlic frie basket had almost no garlic flavor at all, just the 10 fries on the top had anything. The burger is got was burnt to a flaking crisp on the outside with about no cheese. My drink wasn't refilled for more than 20 min and it was only because I asked by then. Overall, it's not good food for the price at all. Staff was friendly and the place is nice with a good atmosphere but that's about all the positive I can say.

Food not great, I wouldn't dine there again. The only good item on the menu is the chowder soup.

Server was doing double duty and had to make drinks as well as waiting tables. Took nearly 30 minutes from the time we stat down to get our first drink. Food was decent and came in a timely manner.

Fabulous to-go experience for Christmas dinner. Would highly recommend for travelers. Great quality and value.
