Good but a bit pricy. We decided to eat dinner outside. The service was nice, a little slow when it came to processing the check. The food was pretty good, but didn’t necessarily match the high price. Maybe because the restaurant is on Front Street. Overall good but not great. If you want to try a German meal in Leavenworth, give it a try.

Went here with a large group of about 20 people. Service was excellent, food was served quickly for the group size, and the food tasted fantastic. Prices were fair for being a tourist town and the quality of the food was very good.

The best thing about this restaurant is that you can sit outside, same as many other restaurants on the same street.
The food is fairly basic and a bit crude. The service was extremely slow. The menu has a lot of misspelled German words so I'm guessing they're not familiar with German food or they don't care.
This restaurant is doing just the bare minimum. There is no effort to provide a good experience.

Brought up in German family from immigrants who came in the 1800’s to farm in the Midwest. I’ve enjoyed amazing variety of authentic German foods and homemade sausages. Very disappointed with the servings we received at Ludwig’s. About the only authentic taste was the sauerkraut. Sausage was very mild and bland. Server seemed to think it a bit of a nuisance to help or smile. The atmosphere was nice with murals and wall hangings. Seated on a hardwood bench became uncomfortable in short time. Dinner for 2 with 1 beer each came to $80. Add the tip and cost seemed a bit high.

If you are looking for authentic German food this is not the place to go. My husband and I shared the German platter which had a Bratwurst, pork chop, chicken patty, sauerkraut and red cabbage. The food was bland and unappealing. Price for this was $80 plus dollars which included 2 beers. This was very disappointing. I’ve had better bratwurst from Costco.

Food is not cheap! We had a platter for two with the pig knuckle. You’d have thought we ordered jerky! The food was so overcooked and TASTELESS! It’s not cheap either. All in all…skip this place! Our pitcher of beer came, no glasses. Our platter came, no plates. We finally got plates and beer mugs, but no napkins. When you have to ask and ask for things that should come….just NOT GOOD! Tourist trap!

I was here for a day trip. The food was delicious and authentic! We ordered the Prakas. WoW. Just like my grandma and mother made. They even had the rice which is always the missing ingredient at other restaurants. For those that say they don't like the food I'd say try another nationality because this is what German food tastes like.
Great service too! Keep up the good work. I'll be back.
