Nice family place to eat. variety is good. Pretzels seem to be popular there. Schnitzel is fabulous!
Very good!!!!
Great food. First time tasting German food
The strong suit of Ludwig’s is their Family Platters, for 2, 4 or 6. Great food, friendly service and fair atmosphere.
The food, the service and the atmosphere were a top notch! Food was so good, like a homemade. We got a plate with sausages, cabbage and potato salad. So delicious! You can tell that they are care about their customers. We liked the beer selection too. Highly recommend to eat here!
The worst place to find “German” food in Leavenworth. Don't waste your time or money.
We specifically flew from Sacramento area to eat at Ludwig's. Could not contact them on the phone as it was always busy for days. We went online and made a reservation for 4:00pm & 4:15pm on April 3, 2025. We received a question email the day before for us to verify we would meet out reservation commitment. We arrived with excitement only to find a sign in the door saying the place is closed for repairs. No where on their website did they mention they were closed for repairs nor was there a recording on the phone saying they were closed, just a busy signal. Totally disappointed and upset that we spent airline money to relive our German eating experience from our military days only to be totally disappointed.
Great time hostess was a little inconsiderate when walked up but with reservations she calmed down
Food was fantastic. The servers were good. The portions for what you pay are severely lacking. They had a poka band that was a lot of fun. Do not order the salad. $21.00 for the size of a side salad. Had to stop later and get food elsewhere. The sausages and schnitzel are fantastic.
Food was amazing, had a great server. The only negative was the hostess. She was extremely rude, which might be understandable, if they were busy but they were not. Other than that, highly recommend.
Restaurantji Recommends
Food quality really deteriorated also no music like in past I would not recommend this restaurant. Also the whole family was sick the next day
We had dinner on Christmas Eve. We made reservations and did not have to stand in long lines. Very fun waiter. Good food. No complaints.
We visited during the off season, so the restaurant was quite slow on a Saturday night. We were seated right away and our meal came really quickly! The food was good to fine, but enormously over priced. Cant say I'd recommend, but it also wasn't awful.

heard about “schweinshaxe” and had to try it. For all you meat lovers out here this is to die for. A Filipino description would be a cross between lechon and crispy pata. Good for 2-3 people.

This dish deserves its own celebration!! ✨??✨ Goulash is absolutely divine; every mouthful is a symphony of tender beef flavors. ???
I've never really been a fan of Gluh wine before, as its taste often reminded me of potpourri, ? but Ludwig's Gluh wine has completely transformed my taste buds!! ???
This Gluh wine! Taste like Christmas in a cup!!!! ✨???✨????
