We were able to make a reservation on OpenTable- only to arrive and the restaurant was closed.

We only had breakfast there - and understand that it changing back to that amazing breakfast buffet they had pre-Covid. It was fine. And the setting is lovely

The restaurant is located on the grounds of the Sleeping Lady Resort. Parking area is several hundred feet from the restaurant and there are no signs directing one to the restaurant. Took us quite a while to find it. Food was good but very short menu due to "off season" time of year. Service was great.

Beautiful, quiet restaurant going through a transition. My brisket sandwich was incredibly tender and delicious, but I saw other patrons who were less impressed with more expensive meals. Place was nearly empty. I recommend this as an alternative to the in-town fare: get out and see what's going on here. The resort's grounds were stunning at dusk!

Mother’s Day Brunch was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the salmon with horseradish marmalade. We received excellent service, and the backdrop of the Cascade Mountains is second to none.

We stayed at the sleeping lady for our mini-moon and thought we’d enjoy onsite dining. Im really sad to report, Kingfisher was extremely disappointing. One star because the staff is hard-working, but otherwise the food is bad and extremely overpriced. I feel sad for the people who drove from town to eat here. There are better spots on the in-town strip. I dont know if they still havnt recovered from pre-covid days but unfortunately we wont be coming back here.

Really disappointed with experience here especially given the prices. Id recommend going into town over eating here. Overall seems like options here have gone way downhill.

We were very disappointed in the dining experience at Kingfisher. The menu did not have any vegetarian main dish options (nor poultry.) When we asked the server about vegetarian options she had to check with chef and came back and said that she forgot to tell us about the “specials”. The veg option turned out to be a mushroom risotto which had the taste and consistency of par baked rice from a packet. Visually you could see how dry the rice was when it arrived- and the dried mushrooms on top were still dehydrated a bit. The “artisanal” bread looked and tasted like rolls from Safeway. The price for this awful meal was really high. We were especially disappointed because our previous experience of Sleeping Lady dining was positive- the self serve bar matched the ambiance of the resort and the quality and selection of the food was much better.

Dining at Kingfisher has always been a superlative experience, so I was thrilled to see they've finally reopened their doors. We ate there for breakfast and dinner, and enjoyed every meal. My tuna tataki was seared to perfection, and it came with a huge portion of the best salad I've ever had (try the beekeeper's dressing). The fresh biscuits were our favorite part of breakfast. You can order wine or cocktails with your meal, and the setting works for family groups, romantic couples, or even just a solo getaway. If you were used to Kingfisher before the pandemic, you now order off a menu rather than going through the buffet, but the options are still plentiful and there's plenty of choices for those with any intolerances. If you want to experience fine dining in a beautiful setting, away from the bustle of touristy Leavenworth (and hey, free parking!), get to Kingfisher!

I went as part of a group of 3 for a celebration. The setting is serene, and we appreciated the personal attention we received to accommodate diverse dietary needs- 1 vegetarian, another gluten and dairy free. The salad was top notch! So fresh. Friendly service. We will return.

For the price, I was expecting way better from the prime rib.. But it was under salted. I did appreciate how you can request it to a certain temperature, but again.. disappointed on having to add salt to a $64 steak. I digress.
The horseradish they made with it though is ridiculously good, WOW!

The scallops were devine. Cooked to perfection.

The baked potato was ok. It had everything needed to complete it….however it came with bacon bits from a bag and a dry not seasoned potato skin. That’s disappointing and attention to detail with restaurants this expensive is everything. Even at home I oil and season the potato before I bake it. It made it unappealing towards the end.

I’ll be back to the sleeping lady but I’ll skip Kingfisher unless their prices start matching the quality of their food.

Service was nice, our waiter was very kind.

I really wanted to live this as we were so excited Kingfisher used to be so good prior to COVID. Service was slow, food mediocre, we were served a baked potato so cold that butter wouldn't melt. Prime rib was good but nothing I'd go back for. Very disappointing

The food, the atmosphere and especially the staff are just lovely. We come often and always get stellar service and thoroughly enjoy whatever we order

Arrival experience excellent. Food was terrific, I generally abhor eating food that requires me to use my hands extensively but ordered the lobster due to the enthusiasm of the chef and server over having it available. I am glad I did as my reluctance in grabbing the lobster was quickly overcome by the tasty treats protected by the nearly impenetrable shell I discovered within. The family style side of mashed potatoes and root vegetable were very well presented, and the tastes were awesome. The dessert was awesome. The service incredible. I would only have two things for improvement's sake: 1) During busy nights in the winter, having the fireplace lit prior to opening would be good. I understand trying to get it going with a full restaurant is challenging. 2) My martini was very watered down. I loved the blue cheese stuffed olives but any alcohol in the drink must have been negligible. Everything else was terrific. Great to see culinary staff out talking to tables.

This was our first time there and we went there for Valentine's Day dinner. Very rustic place and the staff was nice. It was a bit spendy but it was good. It was a little bit hard to find because Google only takes you to the spa. So we were driving around trying to find a building that was lit up assuming that that was the place. We had to stop and ask people on a path where the restaurant was.
