We live in Australia right on the Ocean and I can’t believe this little Gem has the Best Seafood I’ve ever eaten!!! I’m 62 years old and have traveled the world always looking for the Best Seafood!! Well Hay J’s has made it to the top of my list! I had the Ponzu Calamari, a cup of Seafood Chowder and the Shrimp Pappadell and all of it was absolutely delicious!!!

Got reservations on the same day for a Saturday night. They got us in 15 minutes earlier than our res time. We have dined here several times over the last 15+ years. We have NEVER been disappointed. Wickedly consistent with GREAT food and service. When everyone else is reducing portions, increasing prices and lacking service, Hay J's has not compromised. We don't eat out a lot anymore due to that formula of higher prices, less quality and inconsistent service. Hay J's operates in a vacuum since we haven't experienced any difference over the years. Great value for the money. The braised beef pappardelle was incredible. Others had the Branzino which was tender and perfectly cooked. Our favorite restaurant by far.... Need I go on?.....

Friendly staff atmosphere above average very small and cramped.. Food was just okay for $160 for 2 to eat. Took forever to get our meal we actually got bored waiting for it.. Probably won't be going back anytime soon..

Googled steakhouse and this gem popped up. Dont let the fact it's in a strip mall with a gas station fool you every dish is perfection. The flavor profile of the burrata was sweet and savory, the chowder was thick and creamy, the medallions were tender and not overpowered by the gorgonzola. Location does get loud quickly.
Feel so fortunate to have stumbled onto this hidden gem while waiting for an extensive auto repair during a road trip. We ate here 3 times in 2 days! Seafood chowder- Amazing… the Calamari was a repeater, bistro medallion dinner was fabulous. Hope we can find our way back someday….

I have been to Hay-Js many times. The food is always good. This time, however, was the worst service my family has received at this restaurant. The waitress never told us about any specials. We did not even know they had specials until we had placed our order and then heard our waitress telling them to a nearby table. We were not provided a kids menu or crayons, yet the other young ones in the restaurant had them. Once we did get the kids menu, no crayons and the waitress took it away once we placed our order. We were never asked if we were celebrating anything. We were celebrating a birthday. Saw many other tables have desserts with candles brought to their table. Very disappointing to be treated so differently than those around us. As good as the food is I do not think we would ever go back with how we were treated. Disappointing.
