I had the sea food chowder at the little food truck they have set up. It was good. Never had a sea food chowder with shrimp in it, but it was interesting, otherwise it's what you would expect in a claim chowder. It's a beautiful place to stop, much better than most of the gas stations as long as you don't need gas. The minu was a little limited with fries, fries with sea food chowder and I think there was some sort of oyster sandwich. But that's just the food...
Always a great day at Hama Hama! For those that can't make it on the weekends, they have a U-Shuck deal where you can pick a table and shuck them yourselves at your choice of picnic table, including lending you all the tools to do it! 10/10 recommend!
Came here on a whim after flying in and the trip from the airport to Hama Hama was worth it. Since we didn't make hut reservations, we waited 45 minutes for a table. During our wait we, we ordered soup from their food truck that offered other oyster items, fried oysters, freshly shucked, fried oyster sandwiches and chowder. Their chowder was A-1! Chunky, meaty, thick and creamy with a very slight brine taste from the oysters made me dance in my seat. When our table, no hut...
