We decided to go check out the speakeasy known as the Boiler Room downstairs at the tap house. We love a cool speakeasy and have missed them since moving home from Colorado. This place was so cool, great music, excellent vibe, the bartender was amazing and answered all our questions. The food was on point and came out quick. I'll definitely be back. I'm looking forward to getting some ladies together to hang out soon.
The reason I’m giving three stars is because my fiancé was told “You need to finish your beer because we’re closed” right at 9pm. Granted, last call was maybe 10-15 mins before. He had a whole pint and likes to enjoy the beer, not chug. If they expect people to leave exactly at 9pm, they should do last call 30 mins before. We went out to dinner and drinks to celebrate a promotion. To then be told to get out after they offered a last call close to closing really bothered...
We stopped for a quick lunch and had a GREAT sandwich. It was like a french dip on steroids. Generous amount of wonderful sliced beef on some kind of bread with lots of gouda cheese and then grilled so the cheese was all melty. And it was served with a small dish of really good beef broth for dipping. Also excellent kettle chips. Fabulous sandwich!!
