We LOVE this place and stop any time we’re driving between Seattle and Portland. Halibut fish and chips is phenomenal and clam chowder is very good. The atmosphere may seem a little dated a first, but it quickly becomes charming and warm when you meet the staff. They are also excellent with gluten free/celiac (GF fish and chips in a dedicated fryer!), and we are never disappointed.

I used to eat there often. I was there 22 September 2024 for lunch with a friend. We shared some onion rings: The onion was completely limp, which was difficult to bite. There was liquid inside with the onion. The beer batter would have been ok but for the fishy aftertaste. The halibut fish and chips, which used to be wonderful, were not. The fish was dry—overcooked a tad. The coating batter was not nearly as good as the old one. Fortunately, my friend was happy with her...
