For starters atmosphere was beautiful and the staff was quick to seat us but the food was meh. I ordered the chicken marsala, it was way too salty and almost seemed like packaged gravy. My partner had the chicken Alfredo but it was very bland and the sauce was water thin. We had the carrot cake for desert and that was outstanding! Overall the staff and desert were amazing but the food could use some work.

First time eating at Grant's. Great atmosphere and drinks. They do know how to cook a steak however, the baked potato was room temperature and tasted like it had been cooked the day before and reheated. It wasn't fully cooked. Vegetables were extremely under cooked and uneatable. We did have a great server. Since we were celebrating a friend's birthday, we didn't want to complain so I sent an email explaining what we experienced. No one ever responded. We won't be going back.

Met up with my sister - we each drove for an hour to get to Grants. We had a great experience there several years ago and were excited to repeat. HOWEVER, the online menu and the paper menu were radically different. Many of the things we chose to order from the current worn paper menus were unavailable - from appetizers to main dishes. We settled for what was available. While the food was ok, it was not nearly the experience of our previous visit. I would have expected to talk with a supervisor or manager when we expressed our dismay. We will not be back. We loved coming here with our Mom when she was alive and will miss coming to the Montecillo.

Yikesssss.Didn’t accept reservations. We were told a 30 minute wait. We waited 2 hours just to be informed they were sold out of most items on the menu. We left hungry and upset.We ate at Kyoto Japanese Steakhouse instead! Seated instantly, delicious food

Really fantastic steak! I had the rib eye, my wife the filet.Both cooked perfectly medium rare over mesquite wood.The flavor fantastic, service awesome!Try the carrot cake for dessert!It was superb.

We ate here for the first time last night and over all the food was very good but the service was probably some of the worst service I have ever recieved which is surprising given the establishment. I had chicken cordon blue and that was delicious- I would eat it again for sure. My husband had a steak and he was very happy with that. The fondue is good and my side salad was okay. The broccolini was basically burnt on the outside but still not cooked and I love broccolini so that was disappointing but aside from that food is great. But the service- it took over 20 minutes to get our orders taken. We even went over and asked if they forgot about us and we were assured no but then maybe another 10 minutes went by before the server came over and admitted there was a mix up as to who was supposed to take our order. Then he checked us often while we ate so it seemed it was simple mistake that had been resolved. But then once we finished eating we sat there so long waiting for the check and the opportunity to even ask for a box that I finally had to get up and go ask at the bar. I think we will try here again given that everyone has bad days but hoping this type of service is not the norm here.

Ordered the fondue which is a bowl of cheese soup, a soup spoon, and slices of a Winco baguette toasted on one side and not on the other. It took 40 minutes to arrive, sandwich (French Dip) took another half hour, then found out that the other person’s order wasn’t available. If you want a drink, this is the place. If you want to eat, find somewhere better, not worth the wait.

First time here. Had the calamari and also Swedish meatballs appetizers. Delicious! Then had the halibut dinner with shrimp, AMAZING!! Ben was SUPER! Couple of glasses of wine and the Paper Airplane. Was a great dinner. Will be back for SURE! Thanks!! Highly recommended.
I love Grant's @ the Monticello! The brussel sprouts are AMAZING! Highly recommended. The 2 servers I met (been twice since I discovered this wonderful gem ?) are both knowledgeable and delightful in their own ways. The building is spectacular. Cozy booth for date nights. Cool bar for gatherings. And event rooms!

I wasn't to impressed for this being the it restaurant intown..this place could do so much more!! Big prices, small taste.. I would expand a more longview friendly menu and spice things up with utilizing the hotel part of the restaurant bar slash dance floor or karaoke stuff make it more people friendly and unique...

The steaks were cooked perfectly, and the taste was so great, the veg was grilled and seasoned unlike a lot of restaurants that are just boiled, we also got the calamari and that was just Devine. The fondue was TO DIE FOR. We will be back. Our bill was $130, so a bit on the spendier side, but great for the rare date night out with no kids.
