Update: I ordered today through DoorDash and the order was confirmed by the store, but there was no one at the store? As a long time patron, I’m going to take a break from Guse’s. This was at 9:30 AM?? Two hours after it says you are open. Also I lost my $7 tip to the dasher because of the store confirming the order. Pretty frustrating as someone who just wants to drink your coffee and eat your food. Original Review: I love Guse’s, but I have stopped by 4 times from 7:30-8:00 AM when it says y’all are open, and the lights are dark and no one is home. Today is my partners birthday and he wanted Guse’s because it is the best- but since it’s closed, we will have to choose somewhere else. I notice there is generally only 1 opener- having 2 openers would greatly reduce this occurrence. It’s a common practice as someone who worked in coffee for 2+ years. I appreciate your business, and really hope you stick around.

Great place to hear all about the town. And have great coffee. I asked for a peach iced latte with regular milk and it almost tastes like peaches and cream. We can get closer next time 😉. I loved the rotating art gallery wall. The book nook up front. And spaces to chat with friends. Add them to your social media. @cafeguse

Good coffee. I saw that they had fresh avocados behind the counter and ordered avocado toast. I was dissapointed when the toast had store bought avocado spread on it, the kind with the citric acid preservative flavor. I would come back just for coffee, but the food was too expensive to not use real ingredients.

I want to love this place, but half the time they’re out of some key ingredients for their already basic food offerings and only tell me when serving the incomplete order and I’ve already paid full price. The building could also use some TLC on the stairs and bathroom.

Also, unbiasedly I have tried a lottttt of coffee (it is my passion) before I worked here, I noticed the quality of the beans right away! I used to go in there back when the restaurant next door was Urban Saloon and Grill. I worked there and would go over to Guse's for coffee drinks.
I haven't tried their food, so I cannot accurately comment on it. However, the coffee is excellent.

Really wanted to like this place but the espresso is watery and over extracted. I'll give this place a try again another day. I'm hoping it's just an off day. Still better than starbucks coffee tho
