Update: Owner and I got in contact and we quickly found out where the piece of plastic came from, it was a one off incident with the packaging container for that slice of cheesecake. I appreciate when a business listens and actively works on solving the problem within hours. Very nice people work here. We will be back!
I have been wanting to try this place for a while. Finally had the time to stop by. I was not greeted, noone was at the counter for a hot minute (in which I dont mind) but when someone did show up, I was the first to say hello. I did not exactly get happy vibes from the cashier but everyone has bad days so I understand, I wont let that hinder me. Got a few different things, from cheesecake slices, tiramisu, and cinnamon roll pudding. Brought them home, husband started digging into one of the cheesecake slices and right in the middle of one of the slices was this sharp piece of plastic?(I think) it was almost 1inch long. He was scared of any further injuries so he threw the rest of the cheesecake away. But it did taste pretty good overall. Just concerning with the random sharp piece in the middle

Mellie’s Bakery is a gem in Longview! Their Texas sheet cake with pecans is rich, moist, and absolutely decadent—just the right amount of crunch from the pecans makes it perfect. My husband loved the lemon bars: bright, tangy, and perfectly balanced with a buttery crust. You can really taste the care and quality in every bite. Definitely happy I decided to check them out while my usual dessert spot is closed! Here is the picture of what was left after I devoured the sheet cake in bed! And I can't wait to try out more

I ordered from Mellies through DoorDash and was really disappointed. The dates on the treats I received showed they were expired. I reached out but never got a proper response. At first, I thought it might have just been a labeling mistake since the food smelled fine, so I gave it a try. Big mistake—I ended up sick all weekend. Mistakes can happen, but ignoring customers and sending out expired food is unacceptable

We bought three of the mini pies. Chocolate peanut butter and butter scotch. They were not good. It was basically pudding from a box thrown in there covered in whipped cream. Just wouldn't call theses pies. Too expensive for what we bought. Also got a half sheet cake and it was dry and a weird burnt butter taste. Just not great products here. We did buy the peanut butter cheese cake too and it tasted good and was cute. But way too dense. More like cement.

This place has the bombdigty I really like the turtle cookie and my fav is the cinnamon rolls. It’s just it’s a bit expensive to I wish they would lower thare price but it’s ow so good and I’ve never written a review before so that’s saying something

Had to try the basics, a cinnamon roll and a slice New York cheesecake. I was not impressed with either. For a cinnamon roll, I'm looking for a punch of cinnamon, great dough to sugar ratio and beautifully creamy cream cheese frosting. That is not what this is. The dough was bland and thick for the lack of cinnamon sugar. The frosting was like a cream cheese flavored sugar frosting. It coated my mouth with a film of sugar. The cheesecake...was half frozen. Ice chunks were falling off on the seat of my car. With that, the crust was soggy and I'm not sure if it was supposed to be a graham cracker or sugar cookie crust and there was an undertone of lemon where I was expecting vanilla. Highly disappointed.
Had high hopes for the cookies I got and was sadly disappointed very thick almost stale tried the nom nom and the raspberry cheesecake cookie both just very blan barely taste any of the toppings in the nom nom basically only taste whatever the cookie is made of the raspberry one had a light raspberry taste can't complain about that but the frosting in my opinion is gross it was thick stale and very sweet like why is this so sweet kind of sweet they reminded my of crumbl cookies which I personally have a distain for but I only gave it 2 stars for the cookies haven't tried anything else

I had the Biscoff and Oreo cheesecake and both were 15/10. Cheesecake so good you have to close your eyes and just relax on that first bite.

The treats here are amazing. I specially order a sugar free snickerdoodle cheesecake and man, it was outstanding!! The item was for a birthday present for my brother whose partner made it for him every year before her untimely death last year. So, thanks Miss Mellie for bringing a little extra joy back to his special day!!
