This is the second visit and definitely the last. I’m not sure if the cooks don’t know how to read or just don’t care. I ordered a scythe burger no tomato and asked for the meat to be well done. My significant other ordered a Smokey onion burger with fries; he also wanted his burger well done with ketchup for the fries.
My burger had tomato on it, no lettuce and no onions. The other burger came with ranch instead of ketchup. The waitress asked how it was and I explained I have a food allergy and that is why I asked for no tomato. She took my plate back to the cooks and came out with my plate within 2 minutes, no exaggeration. The waitress said they took the tomato off put lettuce and onion on with a new bun. Said the tomato didn’t touch the meat. I didn’t think about it until I got home, the only thing on the burger was bun, tomato, cheese, meat and bun. How did the tomato not touch the meat. I am thankful I’m not anaphylactic with tomatoes.
Lastly, our burgers were not well done as you can see from the attached photo. The uneaten side was way more pink than the side I did eat. I tried to stomach it but couldn’t do it.
Two burger meals, a water and a soda, total cost close to $50.00.

Great food. Good beer. Just take your time and relax because the service is not fast.
Enjoy yourself life should not be a rush.

They randomly closed 3 hours early and i did call and no answer after 29 rings so I figured they were busy. Learn to set voice mail folks. A water of 30 min on transit to get there ..

You know sometimes when you are just driving around in a strange city you run into something just great. Well that happen to my wife and myself. We were in Kelso and drove by the Scythe Brewing Company an decided to drop in. Always looking for a good IPA. Not only did they have a great IPA they had one of the best staff members I have ever ran into. I wish I got her name by she was working the afternoon of 10/29/2025 and I have ran into a lot of servers/bartenders and she was the best. I don't walk well and she took the time to make sure I was doing OK. Besides that it they had homemade soup and the beef barley was to die for. Thick and rich and just full of flavor. So impressive my wife took one spoonful and told me it was the best soup ever and I had to agree. The beer was excellent and the place was just comfortable. I don't live in the area and don't know if I will ever be back but if you are ever in the Kelso area it is work the stop. I know that I will try to make it back. Also parking was good and decent to get in and out of.

Excellent customer service. I was surprised it wasn't more busy on a weekend but the quality was top notch. We had the nachos and they were delicious.

We like the food and beer here but this time I was disappointed that the waitress was not helpful with gluten free choices.

Food is GOOOOD!🤤
Food quality 10/10
Food price 10/10
Service 10/10
Atmosphere 8/10

Sorry about the pic we devoured and nachos and most the sandwich before realizing I should get a pic 😬🤣

If you are in the area or driving through this Scythe Brewing is 100% worth the stop. The server was very friendly and attentive. We dined inside and brought our lil cat in his backpack with no issues ♥️

We ordered the Firey Turkey Gobbler and it was mouth watering, the charred jalapeno wasn't too spicy and definitely made the dish.

We also ordered the small nachos and they are LOADED! Both were very reasonable prices and just down right delicious 🤤

We ended up splitting the burger and nachos and had a drink each to a bill under $50 which is unheard nowadays at a taproom.

I gave the atmosphere an 8/10 simply because the smell. There was that odd mildewy dish rag smell you noticed after sitting down. Walking in smelt like well seasoned burgers but after min you got that table cleaner smell. Not horrid but enough to definitely notice.

Thank you for the great service and good we will be back 👌

Arrived at 11:35 with my wife on her lunch break. We were met with a sign on the front door stating they'd be opening late with no time indicating when. So wasted 15 minutes finding that out and not knowing if it'd be worth waiting for it to open. Seems this place is having employment issues, whether it's just bad timing, lackluster employees, business failure, or management issues is yet to be seen.

Recommended eatery. Destination is located in a semi industrial building. We sat a small table and was asked to mov to a clean larger table. The capacity of the restaurant was about 20 percent. Generally, the brewery and restaurant is clean and there is plenty of nostalgic things adorning walls. We located menus and starting looking. The waitress came soon after and out group ordered drinks. Another 5 minutes passed and the waitress came back and we ordered entrees. Another 5 minutes passed and our food was served. I ordered the fried tuna and chips. The fries are home fries and were prepared crispy. These fries were just OK and mixed with dregs of the fryer. The tuna was prepared fried and had a light batter for which was appreciated. The tartar sauce was good. The other entree was a cruban panini. The bread was well grilled. The pastrami and pulled pork did not seem to go together as a sandwich. We did not have attentive wait staff during our meal. Pricing was market.

We are there for the first time Sunday and will definitely go back. Friendly, good service, the food was delicious and the beer was great!

The only thing I didn't like were the bar stools, like I sat in one for 20 seconds and then picked a table with real chairs. 🤣 No way could my husband sit on one of those! 🤣🤣🤣

The food is awesome! It’s clear that the cooks and servers really care about the customer experience. You can tell everything is made in house. The food is always flavorful. They also offer a good variety of gluten free and vegetarian options. I was there for dinner while they were very busy and had a large event. The servers handled it very well and the food was still perfect.
Deb is always amazing, but the other servers I’ve had are awesome too. (Sorry I can’t remember their names!) The drinks are always perfect.
My ONE critique would be the chairs. They are so uncomfortable. The atmosphere is good but the decor seems… mismatched. Idk what’s happening there, but the food is great!

Worst mac and cheese I've ever had. No flavor, was not seasoned at all. Got the pulled pork on it... not much flavor either, looked like a scoop of meat you'd get at a cafeteria. For $20 it was a big disappointment. Our server was nice and she did check in asking how the food was, so the extra star is for her. I just had no energy after a long day to ask for something different. No exaggeration, the Reeser's and every generic frozen mac I've ever had has better flavor. Just felt like whoever made it did not care at all. They should actually taste what they are serving people. I hate wasting food and took it home since I hardly ate any of it, thinking I could add spices, but I decided to just throw it away. My husband liked his burger and the fries were good though.
